Hatsan and slugs

I’m new to airgun nation .

This is literally my first inquiry.. I started out with hatsan because it was with it in my price range . I own five of them . Until I purchased a few other better quality guns, then I had something that to compare them too. Daystate FX etc. and even some of my mid range rifles like Sam yang and Airforce .

Which are all far superior in quality and accuracy .

But last year I bought myself a sortie* made by hatsan.. I don’t understand why this pistol will shoot slugs semi well groupings at 40 yards. 1 inch groups !But I can’t get any other of my hatsan guns to group any slugs. I’m talking they’re all flyers .

If anyone could help me with this subject I would truly appreciate it .

Barrels are all different they have different Inside diameters and chokes as well as twist rates. Barrels built for pellets are usually, but not always, a bit tight and have the wrong twist rates for slugs so shoot them in shotgun like groups. ;^( It's hard to say why your pistol shoots slugs well especially when slugs usually like higher speeds. But enjoy it while it does.

Push a slug trough your barrel and you will see if its not uniform in friction, maybe there are looser spots in it.

A blowed skirt can compensat this looser spots a hard masive slug not, it will pressed a the thigtest barrel spot to his smalest diameter if now comes a looser barrelspot downrange it will loose the grip in the groves and lands.

Push a slug trough and you will see
