Hatsan 125 Vortex .25?

I purchased one when they first came out, with a spring not a strut. I sent it back because the barrel bore was oversized. Most pellets would drop right through the barrel. I slugged the barrel and it was .254. I heard they fixed those issues but hearing the poster above talk about his friends being a scope killer sounds like maybe not. Rifles that kill scopes usually have a sealing issue. Either in the tube or barrel, sometimes both. Good luck with it,

Rifle arrived today and I had a chance to fire it using the Benjamin and H&N pellets I had on hand from testing for my Marauder. Since it was dark I wasn't much good beyond 20yds with the fiber optic sights, but each shot that did hit had a nice sounding smack to it. Sound wise the Sniper Vortex comes in at 78.7db at the same distance away I was measuring 73db with my .25 Marauder. So its not quite as quiet, but its enough to use at night for some pesting if needed.

Once the ZR Mount comes in I'll get a scope on it and see how well she really performs, and whether or not the 19.91gr H&N pellets I ordered are going to be one of its favorites or not.

Picked up a 4-16 centerpoint at walmart. So far from the pellet testing today I've determined the one I got likes H&N Barracuda 31gr pellets, with predator polymags and JSB 25.4's at about the same for second place. The ZR mount seems to be working as intended, but I'll have to shim the front because the droop compensation isn't giving me the vertical adjustment I need for adjusting the scope.

After shimming the scope and getting the hang of an artillery hold again I've finally managed a quarter sized group at 28yds. I've also managed to finally hit the soft drink cans I've setup at various points in the yard that range from 20 to 40yds. I feel with a bit more practice I should be able to use it as a reliable backup in case my Marauder ever forms a leak.

G'day,

I had a Hatsan 125 in .22. Wonderful power, but a barrel that was mounted [at the pivot] pointing to one side a few of degrees and nothing I could do rectified the problem and get any accuracy. In the end I grew so frustrated with it, while shooting well with my German rifles, that I took my angle grinder and cut it up. The Turks have to improve their quality control.

I don't know why that would be true, maybe you could elaborate?
