Has anyone experienced false starts on their compressors. What I mean by this: I plug the cord in the voice comes back "good to go". I turn on the coolant pump, then the auto purge, then the compressor. Brrump, then a couple of seconds later the voice again "good to go". I follow this by a complete system reboot. Unplug and start again. Last night this happened three times before taking off. Thoughts???

I'm over 3 1/2 hours on the compressor. Loving it. I've followed all of the BIG Guy's suggestions. Hour meter, coolant, oil and mods. (Wrapping lines and air flow). I've also added a secondary filter from AOA.

My only update is two things: Found when filled with oil after the first 1/2 hour it was black. Changed at 30min and again at 90min. I believe most of this was caused in shipping or sitting. Good now. Second thing to mention but this might be on my part. Fill time is down, but this only happened after I took apart the filter section. I had some issues reinstalling the gold portion/filter on the compressor. Some of the fittings leaked. "Hey, someone said there's stuff in there" I had to look.

Stupid question, but did you have pressure already in the system? From the last time used? Are you making it a point as far as the start up procedure to always first have the bleed knob open, before starting the compressor? Try that. Have the bleed knob wide open, let it warm up about a minute or so, then after you’re all connected to fill tank/gun slowly close that bleed knob tight, then at 1000 psi pressure(at the compressors gage) start opening up the fill tank knob.



At each shut down, after I’ve bled all air out, I always leave that bleed knob wide open. I let it cool down by letting the coolant pump run for around 15 minutes while I’m putting everything else away and logging down my time use on my notes. I’ve made a mental note to myself to not ever turn the coolant fan/pump off until it hits or gets below 95 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just me, and how I do things.

Two things I can think of. One you are using other electric in the same outlet, or your outlet doesn't handle up to 15 amp or so. Make sure it's on a breaker that can handle 15 amps or more and no other electronic are on the same outlet. Two, you might have pressure in the system making it harder for the motor to turn over. It's like riding a bike. It's you start your bike already half way up a hill, it will be impossible to peddle. Start from no load aka no pressure. That's all I can think of.

Good call on the electrical load, ImpactX. Thinking back, I took my nail gun compressor to someone’s house to help do baseboards, and when I plugged into a certain circuit, the compressor would do thi s small BLERP, then just be stone cold dead. We picked another outlet, and bam! Works like a champ. Found out that original circuit was an overloaded 15amp.

I've not had a chance this week, but this weekend look out. I've just about received all the accessories, tweaks and pellets for a good weekend of fun. Works been terrible, too many people with time off. I've been covering for two and still doing my regular job. I'm ready to let off some air. Sorry for the pun.

Update: Switched outlet, on a different circuit. No problems, Thanks for the advice.

I filled my tank Friday night and Monday night. Filled a friends tank on Sunday. On Saturday we started shooting and tuning. We started shooting at 1030 and quick at 630. One Edgun Leshiy we degassed twice and refilled completely then sighted. We used some air.

It's nice knowing you have a fill source.
