Has anyone heard of the company Airgunus? Looks real shady

AIR GUN NS
https://www.airgunns.com.

Hate to admit it, but this just got me under Air Gun NS, which apparently also went by Air Gun OS at one time.
I put in an order for an Air Maxx Foj Competition pistol. I did specify my Pay Pal account , but used another VISA.account number.

I thought they were taking $99 out of my Paypal Balance... when the order was submitted. $100 item in Chinese popped up and went to different name (not English)??

The order showed declined. I immediately checked Pay Pal and there was not a transaction, so I called my credit card company. They saw the $100 transaction. After some discussion that filed a Fraud account, cancelled the transaction, and we cancelled the card. Ugghh. I will follow up and watch my Credit Card account, and Paypal.. I may have got lucky beyond the inconvenience..

THANK YOU for posting the details of how this scam works.

I then starting web searching and found this entry...I was ordering from Air Gun NS. The chat came up as "OS" ... no response. Several links take you to the chat.
site: Like others, I wanted to pass on the information on for the next person. Like the previous person, I usually pretty good at sniffing out bad sites. And hope this reply help a future search algorithm pop up the scam alert. IN STOCK and Low price should have been the hint during these times.

Now going into my 3rd round of disputing a charge from these criminals and my credit card issuer, Chase (a do nothing organization IMHO) Wondering if ZeroM who posted on this, or anyone else, has any of the following:

1) The PayPal notification of the charge.

2) Any email or text regarding the fraud you experienced.

3) The name of the bank, not the branch, and NOT CONTAINING your personal info. Block it as a graphic and cover over your personal stuff.

I have yet to receive anything from Chase other than 2 emails telling me the charge is valid, even though they never contacted me about any of my documentation, that is, at present voluminous. PayPal told me, when I last spoke to “Bill” in the Philippines, that they go with whatever the bank decides. Funny that, as they DIRECTLY FACILITATE FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS. They just shrug it off.

I have local PD involved, and the FTC involved. Reported to the postal inspectors and DID NOT GET RESPONSE. May need to also report to Alphabet org. Any and all help appreciated. Funny, the delivery for the fraudulently purchased items, went to an address not more than 1/2 mile from my home.

TAKE AWAY IS: You will not, unless you can win the lotto, get any help from PayPal, maybe your bank, for sure not from the USPIS (postal inspectors), the FTC or any other organization. I believe, as the criminal buyer who got the goods lives in my city and county, I can take the recipient to small claims to recover. If that road is open, I’m going to ask for the full $10,000 punitive damages the court can impose.

Read a post from ACURIC, THAT DEFENDS THIS BUSINESS FRAUD. Got to say for someone that admittedly never purchased from this site, the post is most defensive of the operation, and even, if reading between the lines, mostly gives the impression this dude may not be real. Look at the ratings he’s got. How? Gonna track that down, too. Every thing that seems out of line, usually IS.

This comment and reply contains only my opinions. It is simply a response for which I find no supporting evidence. Again, my opinion only!

Yes, both websites are fronts for fraudulent transactions. Do you have more info? Common threads are PayPal, phony PayPal transaction, Amazon is the shipper, and hands off to USPS. This scam has connections in the Cayman Islands, and, wait for it… Russia. I now know of at least four identical sites running under different domain names with the same content, and same scam. Amazon verified the shipping was not to my address, and the tracking number was used twice. Funny the stuff got delivered to a huge home in the hills not far from my address. PayPal said they’d look into it and didn’t. Chase, the credit card issuer has told me twice the charge is valid. I’m going in loaded with what is now more than 40 pages of documentation on this fraud. My conclusion, and my opinion only, is that PayPal, Amazon, and banks don’t give a rat’s arse about investing fraud if it takes more than a couple minutes.

These crooks are part of a many-tentacled operation, worldwide.

Just for grins use Whois and look at the registrations for:

airgun.us

airgunns.com

airgunos.com

Note the fraudulent address, zip code, locations, and notice the name of the VA Wayne. Probably some screw in Virginia.

Phroed,

Althougth very frustrated and still concerned I think I made out better.

The credit card I used was a Visa through my credit union. I ordered directly through the site. And this “customized service” was buried in check out somehow.

i did specify PayPal addr but used a credit card. I was not even logged into Paypayl but they used the PayPal login is and pay charged the visa as it was also linked to that account.

1.) PayPal: The merchant name was in Chinese ideograms. Although at the time I couldn’t tell it was the merchant. Get this the transaction didn’t show up on PayPal at first. It wasn’t until I contacted PayPal fraud the found the pending charge deeper in their records.
Yet I did get an notification via email of a charge.

from the Paypal email

Yeah, that’ll scare you. I didn’t this site had anything to do with China until I saw this.

Side note. I was doing searches similar to an earlier reference and this company just popped up today.

i was also searching Amazon the night before. I wonder if the targeted research info advertising feeds these guys.

maybe because the order wasn’t processed yet PayPal took the fraud case and indicated they didn’t think I would be charged.

2.) on my Credit card side, the request was pending from PayPal..

This charge will appear on your credit card statement as payment to PAYPAL *ANHUIHEWANG.

I was not happy with PayPal as it took about 50 minutes of waiting to get through . The email said to write if you or contact the company . The purpose of PayPal used to be to protect us.

I also told PP rep I was one of several getting hit and they should immediately suspend any payments to the Merchant.

————-

my fingers are crossed. I wasted a good portion of the day. Now, cancelled my only card. And although I think the payment was suspended, but I haven’t received anything official yet that I won’t be charged. The legal disclaimers mention “based on company/seller”. They used to cover the buyer. PP has saved me back when they first started, we’ll see now. That was suppose to be the purpose of using PP.

Also, I believe the contact info for the website just took me to a chat dialog.. I was already getting frustrated because phone number and location I couldn’t determine. I guess that is another flag.

So I was blaming China. This is we my Fud hat gets put on and wish I could walk into a store and flop cash on the counter.

Hope this helps … this was going my first PCP purchase… ugh

I have been fighting with my Visa issuer over this for weeks. They’ve investigated twice and twice affirmed the charge is valid. It IS NOT. I’m back at them with a third claim, this time, after reminding them they’ve not asked for a single page of documentation on this fraud, I sent them 9 of the 47 plus pages I’ve amassed tracking these lowlifes. Wish I could read the text on that screws name tag in the photo, ‘cause I’d look him up for the local PD in his area.

There are many of the exact same sites, graphics and all. I’ve tracked their domain name registrations that span the globe. They’re registrations contain garbage info and I wasn’t aware you could register a name using a street address like, “dfhgs,” and, yet they did.

DO NOT EXPECT MUCH HELP FROM YOUR BANK. They’re really not interested. I’m shoving it down their throats. If they look at all the evidence on how widespread this is, and how the fraud works, they must conclude it’s a charge in need of refunding. If they don’t I’m taking them to court. I also RECOMMEND FILING WITH THE FTC. Enough of us do that and maybe we can nail these twerds.

I’ll bet the PayPal charge was for $99.99, right?

Irony is, the crap they bought with my money was purchased via Amazon (yep, Amazon accepts PayPal), was delivered to some crud-coated lowlife about half a mile from where I live.

So before filing with your card issuer, read everything here in this thread. Copy documents, and make sure you force them to accept you evidentiary documents. IF YOU NEED MORE DOCUMENTATION LET ME KNOW AND I’LL POST THEM HERE.

Oh, I did call the ammo manufacturer in the same Texas highway building and suggested if he was the fraudster, or next door, with all that ammo, he might consider moving as I was planning a visit now that I knew who he was. Last I checked (few days ago) both businesses are no longer shown at that location. I must have scared them. Good! Now, I’d never go to Texas for that, but did find out they can be spooked.

Below is the supposed location of Airgun.us.

Good luck.

I spoke with a person at PayPal to get the charge reversed. They had denied the claim as the seller sent them a USPS delivery receipt that the merch had been delivered.

The post office cannot tell me what address the package was sent to for privacy reasons. They CAN however confirm that the package was NOT delivered to my address as it was shown on my order confirmation. I explained to the supervisor that I needed that in writing for a fraud claim with PayPal and could they help me out. He said he would write it up and email it to me. He gave me his email address. Sent me a letter on usps letterhead that day. I sent it to PayPal and the case was re-opened, decided in my favor, and a refund issued.

Interestingly enough, the postmaster letter did have the address that the parcel was sent to. It also said that the package weight was 10 Oz. I had ordered 5 tins of Hades 25 cal pellets, so the item would have been closer to 5-10 lbs. I went to that address (it was only 2 miles from my house. All these cases have this in common) and spoke with the person that lived there. I explained the situation and asked if they had received any weird packages in the last couple weeks. She said she had received a USPS mailer with a stack of blank paper in it. She hadn't kept it. She just thought it was weird.

So my theory is that the recipients are not necessarily involved in this scam. The scammers just need a legit address that is in the same zip code as the order. That way the usps delivery confirmation states that the package was delivered to "Hemet, CA 92544" for instance. That confirmation is enough to make PayPal deny the customers claim.

In reality, we should be pissed at PayPal. If you look back at my case, all the evidence I obtained from the usps was in the PayPal system. They had my order. They had the shipping notification. The notification showed the "ship to" address and they could see that they were 2 different addresses. They just didn't take the time to look. They saw the delivery notification and denied my claim.

Long story short, it is worth the effort to get hold of a human being at PayPal and hash it out with them vs trying to do it all on the web site.

Hope this helps someone who may be in the middle of this.

This is a response to ZeroM. I tried to respond to your message but for some reason it's telling me that I'm not yet free to do that?

Anyway, I just ended up going to the post office and talking with a counter person. They called their supervisor and he drafted a letter on their letterhead and emailed it to me. He was familiar with my situation and was super helpful. I had tried in vain to work this out over the phone and it ended up just being easier to go in to the post office and talk to a human.

Sorry so late responding.

I was able to get a refund from PayPal.

Contact the USPS- they will investigate and confirm that the package wasn’t delivered to your address.

You then get the USPS to send you, (or you go get it) a letter on official letterhead, that it was addressed incorrectly, and not delivered to you.

You then provide that to PayPal, and they will refund you

- Either that or when you open the dispute,

do not use the reason that it wasn’t delivered, because that’s what the scammers expect. Open the dispute based on you didn’t get the product you were supposed to. Tell them an empty box was delivered, or it was the wrong product, just a box of paper or something.

I got my $80 back
