Has anyone purchased RTI Prophet Performance Compact yet???

According to what RTI told me 45 shots at 40s foot lbs running at set 160 bar on reg. I bugged the hell out of RTI to get information. And I know Francisco will be updating his page with more specs on the gun as is RTI.

@xsport I think the RTI PPC will be a better all around hunter than an L2. One is higher standard shot count out of stock configuration at least in what I want 22 cal. Two power out put and third because it is the PPC like the other prophets have a more fixed breach block design the rifle should be inherently more accurate than L2 in general. Full discourse I am a former L2 owner.

@mikevv Quick question, can you post of a photo of the magazine you received with your rifle?

Based off the photos Alex of @aractivities shared with me and posted on Instagram the design of the magazine with the PPC is TOTALLY different than previous magazines I have seen for the Prophets.

See photo of magazine in red. AND I prefer a simpler magazine design, less to go FUBAR

Yes, this (circled in red) is the magazine that I got with my new Compact.

No..full size. I believe they both compact and full size use the same magazine (12 shot) that can be left or right hand.

INCORRECT !

The magazine that I got with my "OLD" Prophet Performance is much different than the new Compact version.

The Prophet version (or the one that I received) will only rock, side to side a few degrees. Not really beneficial to either left or right handed shooters.

The one that I received yesterday with the new performance Compact, is a little smaller in diameter, and will rock full out of the way, cheek contact wise, for either right OR left handed shooters. This new magazine is much nicer. Pellet loading is similar, installation into the breach is the same.

Will post more about the new Compact later today.

Magazine Look to be identical to the one I received with my Prophet performance.. I'll post a pic later this evening. As I'm interested to see if there the same. Hopefully the magazines are. It would be nice to have them fit both the full size and compact

After a short inspection of the original full sized Prophet magazine vs. the new Compact magazine. As measured with a Mitutoyo analog dial caliper.

1. The new magazine...sorta...looks just like the original version. The cutout of the outer case, equal to about four pellets is NOT in the new Compact magazine. The new Compact magazine is fully covered.

2. Outer diameter - Original - 1.533" / Compact - 1.545"

3. Barrel slot width - Original - .470" / Compact - .468"

4. Barrel slot depth - Original .470" / Compact - .468"

5. Barrel slot thickness - Original - .623" / Compact - .626"

6. Magazine thickness - Original .705" / Compact - .705"

7. Breach end of the barrel - Original .473" / Compact - .473"

8. Breach block opening - Original .710" / Compact - .710"

Hmm, so the slight dimensional differences are just noise. Dimensional manufacturing tolerances that EVERY part has. The exception is #1. But this difference is at the top of the magazine, so it has no bearing upon the "fit" in the breach. The Original magazine fits in the Compact the same way that it fits in the Original. That is, it doesn't rotate ! Same thing...the Compact magazine fits in the Original the same as it fits in the Compact...that is...it rotates freely..! The FIT...in the gun "feels" fairly similar. Actually the Compact breach seems slightly tighter, same "feel" using either magazine.

No idea why the rotational difference. In any case, both magazines work in both guns.

@MikeVV... that is good to know. Thank you for taking the time to compare the two. Here's mine from my Prophet. . I think mine is loose fitting and easily flips right to left. I've barely bumped it somehow from right to left (I'm a righty) and that makes for a very uncomfortable cheek rest..🤣

Looking forward to your review/thoughts on your compact

@xsport I don’t know and that looks like the old magazine design. Who did you get the gun from? At least for me it is coming from Francisco in Spain. The PPC I am getting is in 22 cal as @mikevv did and his photos are above.

And Alex of Air Rifle Activities sent me a detailed voice text of the magazine. Alex is currently doing a full review of the PPC in his next video. I know the RTI PPC Alex is reviewing is a .22 cal with CZ barrel.

Personally, I would contact the dealer, show him the photos and also RTI who are PRETTY good at responding to customer inquiries. Here is RTI’s contact email: [email protected]

I am not trying to say the dealer pulled a fast one, maybe just switching out the mags to provide you with the number you wanted. However, my brain likes product model consistency with what is supposed to be there. If I see it on the video and it is the final product design, that is what I want when I get the gun, no substitutions allowed just to get me the order.

So there are no baffles in the shroud from factory? Does the barrel end at the shroud end? If yes, then its going to be very loud

Correct, the shroud is hollow from the centering disk screwed to the end of the barrel, to the end of the shroud.

BUT, as I've noted in other posts, Daystate, Renegade / Pulsar baffles quiet the Compact very nicely ! No additional suppressor required. Baffles, and a cut (Daystate) spring make the Compact MUCH quieter. Quieter than the stock Maverick. The baffles "need" to be able to move (despite comments from the "experts"). This is part of the quieting action. I tested non-moving baffles, louder, than moving baffles !

NOTE - because of the barrel vs shroud length, this does NOT work in the full sized Prophet, and I assume the Priest. There's no room inside.
