Has anyone else had loading tray issues on a Texan?

Here is what he is talking about. Was sent to me to remove the tray and cut the leade in better.

The tray is bent up.

Thanks for posting Doug. I bought this.308 Texan last fall. So back in May I dry fired it by accident while sighting it in and the blast bent the loading tray upward to the point I couldn't load a slug. At the time I was tethered at 3500psi. I sent it back to them for repair and they denied the repair. I offered to pay for the repair and they told me they didn't have a way to do a repair Their Technician said it was impossible for this to happen? I'm like well it certainly is possible because it did and your looking at it? They basically called me a liar. I was told they could not and would not repair the barrel and I could buy a new one. In thinking son-of-bitch, what a piece of crap I bought. Not only did they not repair it, they charged me for the return shipping. Anyway, luckily Doug has agreed cut the tray off and ream a new leade.

My belief is Airforce uses the same tophat and breach in the .308 as the .257. The design may be acceptable for the thicker .257 tray but it is certainly not for the .308. So if your going to use a high-flow valve in a .308 make sure you remove the loading tray beforehand. Otherwise, it may happen to you.

It would have been the other way around as to the histogram the .308 was produced first then the 257. This is the first time I have seen this happen I have a 308...... But I have not made changes to it that would void the warranty

The .45 and the .50 are the only two Texans that are equipped from the factory to shoot at pressures above 3000 PSI You said you was tethered at 3500 psi

So I would have to ask what mods have you made to the gun
