Sooo... a friend stopped by to test some things and brought another friend along. He also brought the 21.0 gn NSA "happy pills"

The 3 of us shot quite a lot that day, mostly testing a Red Wolf in 22 with the 25.4s. I had fitted a very good 177 barrel to my Safari specifically because they were coming up and the three of us were giggling like kids when shooting the 177. It was pretty amazing! The group above is 5 shots at 100 at 975 average and I shot that in very good conditions. The first 3 went through the X ring... stressfull to finish that, for sure.

The 12.5 NSA on the right is followed by the above NSA 21.0 flat base, then a 21.0 dish base, the 22 MRD. Group was with the 21.0 gn fb. According to the LabRadar, they were leaving the barrel at 975, 898 at 50 yds, 875 at 75 for a 0.112 bc at 75. It only dropped 2.8 mils from 30 to 100, compared to 3.4 for the MRDS at 970.

I know this is puny compared to some of the stuff Flintsack and Soren have posted... just had to share.😀 It was a great day with friends and though no pics to share, there were plenty of good groups and amazing stuff from this tiny little "happy pill"

Thank you...yes... The little guys hardly blew and we all kept over holding, especially considering the blustery conditions . Fun day, for sure.

They WILL need a rifle with some steam, though. Lots of bore friction for that long, skinny pill.

Thoughts on a real slickery lube helping to get them up to speed? One of the fancy schmancy space age lubes like krytox? Or something else even? (No experience with Krytox, just read about it and was throwing it out there).

I've intended to test these more thoroughly for a while... just had too many other projects on the bench. The main holdup has been inventory, though. I've ordered a larger sample to try a couple of different barrels and see how it goes. I'm sure she would LOVE to go compete in that... just getting everything ready is the challenge.

It's strange that NSA lists the bc as a 0.075. Not bad, but nowhere near what I derived.

We'll see how it all shakes out.
