I have the old 3 stage version and it is robust and capable but I wouldn't push it past 250 Bar. The 4 stage version appears to be the same as the AV and cheaper Chinese ones. Probably just a rebadged Chinese job. From most of the reports that I have seen, they are well made and easy to pump. The 3 stage cheap Chinese ones are definately worth a look.

Skip the high dollar units entirely. I own the taousa hand pump ( think G6 style if comparing price ) at well under $100.00 it is a value, never any issue but for some reason comes with 1 - 2 rebuild kits.

Once special note about the taousa ( and I may be spelling that incorrectly ) on mine I assembled everything hand tight.

Ya, that's it. Tightened all hose/fitting with finger tips and never any leak, nice touch.

Where's your closet airgunners ? I keep a hand pump around just to show folks they work and it's not hard work. I've been know to lend out this pump to others just starting out. It's always worth getting together with other folks esp. when statring out.

I have no idea if there are any pcp gunners down here. I do know I see a lot of break barrels showing up in pawn shops around here. I go check the shops out every two weeks or so. Never know when or if a pcp will pop up for sale.

Been seeing these pop up on ebay. Is this the Chinese pumps people are referring to?
