I have a brocock sniper hr in 25 cal. I’m trying to adjust my hammer spring but it seems there is lock tight on the hammer spring adjuster. I tried to increase it with a flat head screwdriver but it would not budge. Has anyone ever encountered this.

There is probably a lock/grub screw tightened against the hammer adjustment screw.  You will have to remove the two small allen head screws that hold the hammer adjustment screw assembly and remove it from the gun.  Loosen the grub screw, make your adjustment and tighten the grub screw, reassemble.

I have the Brocock Sniper Magnum and that is how mine is, aside from the flathead screw to adjust…mine is an allen head.

if its like the compatto, it looks like a slotted screw but its actually the small hole in the slot.  and yes u must loosen a set screw to allow you to turn the HST.

Well that is normal…when the grub screw is tightened, it is tightened against the threads of the hammer spring screw.  This will flatten the threads slightly on the hammer spring adjusting screw and it will not turn easily…it will turn with some effort…you may have to turn back and forth to "clean" up the threads to get it to turn easier.  I would put some oil or a little dab of grease on the threads of the hammer spring adjust screw to help it move freely.  wipe off any excess when your done.

Well I was able to get the H/S adjuster loose and increase my fps by 20 fps with out moving the reg. I went from 880 to 900 fps with 25.4 grains in 25 cal. But now groups at 30 yards are good but 50 yards they spread out. And I cleaned the barrel this morning. I’m wondering if y’all think the 33 gain mk2 would preform better.

i have my wildcat mk1 tuned to 800 fps with the 33.95 jsb’s.  seem to shoot very accurrate.  try tuning it down some.  dont get caught up in the “power hungry” hype.  i shot prairie dogs at 120 yds and it put them down fine.  all that power dont do any good if u cant be accurrate.

ps. my wildcat doesnt care if they are regulars or mk2 pellets
