Hades Performance Report (Graphic Pics)

Remember, you are not gonna be plinking with these, or Polys for that matter.

I don't see why not. If I decide to do a little plinking I am not going to re-sight-in a different pellet just to save a buck or two, I am going to shoot whatever pellet the gun is sighted in with.

My point is most people will only target with these to sight in, then use to hunt. Folk aren’t just gonna buy these exclusively to plink. But, I agree with you and would do the same. That and the cost doesn’t bother me too much. Below you will find 14 shots from my gun into the same POA, 7 Hades, 7 JSB 18s. Practically no difference, so you should be able to use them interchangeably. Pinky for size reference.

Shot this one about 32 yards out with the Cricket Mini set at ~ 750fps or 19.85fpe. Upon first inspection, I was dumbfounded because I had aimed for the head, but there was no obvious wound to the head area. It also had required a second shot, as it had climbed up the tree a bit. The second shot to the best of my recollection had been aimed at the back, just below the shoulders, but the wound on the back was the pretty low. So, led me to believe the head shot was a miss.

Upon closer inspection, however, I found the entrance wound. Almost a pin hole. I proceeded to retrieve my ammo. Results below.

I think I may be using these to hunt for the foreseeable future.

I took about 50 squirrels with these two days ago, I definitely noticed more drt kills. Also in testing point of impact at 100 is the same as jsb 18 gr with slightly larger groups. Exit wounds were larger and had a lot of hemorrhaging. Overall satisfied with them but won’t be using them past 75 yds for accuracy reasons, but will continue using them.

I recieved a few tins the other day. Being laid-up with a torn rotator cuff repair, I decided to try shooting one handed over the chony. Shooting them out of my .22 Flashpup at 975fps into duct seal, they totally self destruct. The base is mashed down and all 3 pedals seperate.

Then I shot them out of my .22 PP700 at 600fps. They made a nice mushroom, but didn’t seperate. I also shot a couple Polymags just for comparison as that is what I use. The Polymags do mushroom out a lot more. Loosing their tip and sometimes their skirt.

As soon as I can hold a rifle, I will try the Hades in them too. It would be nice to get some in .25.

This is probably the most devastating shot I’ve taken on any critter with any pellet. This was about 28 yards. I did up the speed to about 800 from 750. I wasn’t getting the expansion they are capable of at 750. Frankly, this was a pass through and I didn’t recover the pellet, but.....DAMN!!!!!

Also, I wanted to mention, this mouse flopped around quite a bit after being shot, so much so, that I almost took a follow up shot. Alas it stopped flopping just before I pulled the trigger on it. Glad I didn’t. This should be as much evidence any would want of a humane kill, yet still break dancing.
