I don't believe a daily bag limit applies when "pesting" does it? Just asking, pretty sure here in Virginia when you are pesting for a property owner there is no limit.

I don't know. I have never heard it called pesting except for here on the air gun forum. Here (where I live) they are hunted, as they are classified as a small game animal. That is why there is bag limit and a season. I have hunted squirrels on private property with owners permission many times. I don't think that it would go over to well with the game warden (if he were to show up) to explain to him that I had 12 squirrels in my possession (bag limit is 8 here) because I'm pesting......not hunting. There are many species of animals that have open season year round with no bag limit. Squirrels aren't one of them.

Having said all that. If you have a problem with squirrels destroying property and you are killing them in your yard........who would care.

Jdanvers the noise coming out I haven't checked to be truthful between the two. That being said I will say I had complet pass through with all shoots except 2 and I was not pleased with the pellet deformation they looked as if you could shoot them again. That being said there so many variables being involved I dont want to bash them! I got a big hunt Thursday and more feedback and results can be expected.

Aye, we have a hunting season here as well. The daily limit last time I checked was 8. There is also a season on squirrels here. All that said, land owners are allowed to protect their orchards and other property year round. If you are removing pests, and it is not hunting season, different rules would apply. I think. I do not know and will look it up. I do know that you are allowed to remove pests for the land owner in the non-hunting season. Sometimes a special permit is required and the warden will give you a special ticket to document that you have permission. Anyway, none of that is relevant in this thread so we can leave the topic for another time. I'll check out our rules and PM them to you if you like.
