I'm a Guitar repairman but I use my set up for my Airguns too. In this shot the rifle is being held buy the pic rail. The vise has soft sides and it will easily hold the stock if needed.

Mister12ax7, nice looking rifle you have there. This is a little off topic but I noticed that radio over by the lamp. I was about to buy one years ago but didn’t and I forgot the brand. Could you help me out? Hell why your at it I wouldn’t mind seeing that guitar hanging by it either, nice stuff is nice stuff.

That's the vise I use too. They are meant for woodworker's and carvers. Such a versatile tool, holds just about any shape work.
