JoeKrooz, I think you've got the right idea.

I've got mine stashed inside a gun safe in my basement, but I have little kids and don't like taking any chances. BUT, I would love to have them on display. Pic below is part of my Dad's collection that I grew up with - conveniently located in what was my bedroom no less. Not the best pic, but in that cabinet, among some powderburners, were two old BSA's, Diana 52, FWB124D, Crow Magnum, R1, FWB300s, all in absolutely pristine shape to this day. His solution for security is ideal if you can pull it off - have them on display but inside a locked, preferably reinforced room.

Of course, one difference between me and my dad is that while mine are kept in their own bunker, they are shot routinely, if not daily. The old man's collection may have a view of the world, but are hardly EVER shot. Last time I was there, I decided to try the 124. While it is absolutely flawless, I'm not sure it's ever had a pellet fired in 35+ years. Most of you can guess what happened after the first shot. Needless to say, I just sent it out for a full tune for him (if you're going to open it up for the reseal, might as well do it all, right?) But I digress...

My two cents: if security and naughty kids aren't an issue, I say let those babies see the light. For me at least, the more often I see them (especially the pretty ones), the more often I want to shoot them. And isn't that the whole point?

"crusher75060"I keep the ones I shooting consistently in a stand like a benchrest. the others are in their case, inside the safe. I just don't want them to get knocked around because I left them sitting out. But don't worry. I get them out and shoot them. That is the reason I bought them after all.

what kind of case do you have them in? Hard , soft or original box?
you have a case for each gun?

Depending on if you have kids you need to keep these things locked away I did see some really really cool stuff it was a mantle that you mount to the wall and you have these two little pieces on top they look like you know ornaments or they just look like they should be there and you pick them up and you slide them over certain part of the mantle and there's magnets on the bottom of them and and actually unlock the case in the case slides down from the wall really cool but I need to keep mine locked away just too many kids in the house

I have a combination of Plano and Pelican cases. One for each gun. I do travel and take them with me once in a while and I wanted to make sure they are safe in the car. And, I don't like leaving them just lying around so I needed a place to put them where they wouldn't get knocked over or bumped. The cases work great.
But I do usually have one sitting in the rest that I keep on the workbench for working on the guns. That would be the one I grab first if I'm going out to shoot. Sometimes I end up with 4 gun cases on the floor with all of them exposed so I can shoot them one at a time. They all have their own personality so to speak.

Really nice "office" Joekrooz. Looks well organized. I've been trying to get mine in shape as well. I think my room may be about the same size by it is 22' long. So I have shelving at one end. Still haven't made up my mind on how to change it around. It will help if I can manage to get the stuff out of the room that doesn't belong there. Like the left over tile from remodeling our house. Ugh... And about 25 paint cans..... out I say.... OUT!

I started off storing my guns in hard cases but was told that it was a bad idea because of humidity and rust issues. Not sure how true that is but I went ahead and got cabinets anyway, more for safety than anything. I wanted one of those china cabinets for the dining room or living room like beeman22 has, but swmbo wouldn’t let me.
The room I have is only like 5x9, it’s real tight but really nice having everything in one spot with a bench to work on things. I still have my compressor in the garage as well as a large tote and targets that I bring with me to the range.
