I have the FX impact I'm looking for a good light to mount on the side. I want the brightest light possible not worried about weight but only wanna spend around 100ish maybe 150 just want something super bright and reliable.

I have a couple TacLights they sell on TV for $20

Seriously blinding light that can be focused in to about a foot or so.
Weighs less than nothing and bulletproof.
I know it's not a gun light and I haven't used it for hunting. If I was going to put anything on my airgun for lighting up a target. I would choose it.

I like flashlights.....
I keep my $150-$200 lights for powder burner use only.
I have found a light that works great on my PCPs and is cost effective.
Seriously hard to beat these ultrafire 802b's ($14 for two of them).
They are right up there (lumen output) with $200 flashlights.
The build quality is nice, not surefire nice but perfect for what your purpose is.
They also have drop in IR bulbs avail for $11 (if you have/use nightvision).

Most 1" mounts work for me.
Also the light above I mentioned uses 18650s (I use for lots of my lights).
Guess should consider it another expense...(rechargeable batteries & charge if you don't have those already).

A little more versatility is the Wicked lights 402Z kit Single or double batteries on low and wide angle zoom it's bright enough without freaking the prey On high it's an easy 200 yd plus

I have been using this light for 4 years and still perfect with same batteries (supplied in kit) .This kit has battery charger and light mount. Everything you need to see at night.
You have the choice of colors to choose from, I use the red as it doesn't bother the target animals. You can put the light on them and watch them as long as you want!

Your right I have had a variety of these on my air gun and PB in past . They sit on all of my Air now. That and a lens can be had to change color if wanted, cheap. They work great. You can get push button pressure off switch or reach up with thumb and push the button. I use weaver mounts on the side of the stock in line w/bore or you can get a mount scope ring. The batteries work well also, you would not be sorry.
