Great deal on very nice Bushnell 2.5-10x44

Looked on Amazon and saw this deal on the Bushnell Engage 30mm tube 2.5-10x44 scope for $217. I have a couple of these in various magnification powers and they are VERY good for the money. Lightweight, super clear glass, nice accurate turrets, parallax to 10 yards, and good holdover reticle. They are MOA/MOA.

Wow, this is tempting. Since I've switched to a larger rifle my little Burris Timberline looks out of place on it lol, How is the reticle on the Engage Centercut?

It has the Deploy MOA reticle. Very good IMHO. Some guys that have seen it have thought it was too "busy", but I like it. Each small tick mark is ONE MOA, and the large tic marks are FIVE MOA...

Wow... very cool! How does it compare to the Forge series?

Not sure, but the Forge series are more than twice the cost. Maybe Joe can answer that question, since I think he's reviewed both of them... I had this exact same model on my .22 Cricket mini Carbine last year when I made that 171 yard Ground Squirrel shot...

Mike & Brian, thanks for the info...

The reason I ask is, I have a Forge that I just mounted on the RedWolf a couple weeks ago. I'm very impressed with the clarity and build quality. It rivals my Leupold's and is nicer than my SWFA's.... but as you guys pointed out, it's ~2X the price of the Engage.

Reading through the specs, the Engage looks the same as far glass. I'd like to compare the two side by side... The Forge comes with Bushnell's ironclad lifetime warranty, whereas the Engage does not.

I'll reach out to big Joe to get his take.

Carl, I think you probably looked at the 1” tube Engage which is the older model and totally different. The 2.5-10x44 Engage is very clear all the way to 10x, and the reticle is thin enough for target shooting. I have the 4-16x and 6-24x. Both are clear up to maximum magnification. I'll be using the 6-24x50 this weekend on my .22 EDgun R3 Long at the Temecula, CA Long Range Challenge competition at the Temecula Airgun Club.
