Got the Vet from Utah

Today the Taipan Veteran .25 Long Laminate arrived :) Came from Utah Airguns in a timely fashion, double boxed with enough extra padding to arrive safely. Initial thoughts:

Fit and finish - Satisfactory but not blown away. I never hated on Taipan stocks and i love the laminate! I just can't call it superb. I guess my only knock is on metal finish of the air tube.

Trigger - Good. Let me be fair here... this is an INITIAL evaluation. Expectations ran high in this category based on all the praise they get, but honestly out of the box my AAS410 (set up how I received it used from Charlie Frear) is better, as is my FWB601 and here's the one that should raise your eyebrows... my Beeman P1 is as good! Those 3 triggers are sublime and the veteran is not far behind. I'll hopefully amend this statement once i get to play with it.

Accuracy - VERY good. JSB Exact Kings 25.39 gr. . Weaver V series 6x24 se at 10x, light wind, only to 33 yds 10 shot groups all in 3/4 in. (and I stink!) I bought this one to be able to stretch out past 100 so hopefully I'll update her also.

Manual - Now available online from Taipan ... leaves a lot to be desired. How to adjust trigger? What's the factory reg set at? Diagram of parts but no correlating list, just the picture etc.. etc...

Other - 40 shots from 250 bar to 140 bar, 180 strokes of a Hill mk4 to recharge, mags easy to load and EASY to insert, action pretty smooth

OH! And Sumo on the way! noise not bad but it will benefit from some help.
