I got the carbon fiber tank. And i got most of the hose assembly. I just need the Gauge and the hose to get here. I have been looking and checking on how everyone has there hose assembly set up. I want to do mine different but don't know if there is some reason I should not do this? What i want to do is instead of setting the bleeder and line valve after my cga 347 hand nut and nipple. I want to place the cga 347 to the tank ,then the tee with the gauge, then the hose, at the end of the hose place the line valve, the tee with the bleeder then the fitting for the rifle. My thinking is this... if I do this I will only loose the air from the line valve exit to the fitting ( maybe a inch of air) Then at the end of the day drain the line back to the tank. It will put some wight at the fill end but I don't think it will hurt anything. I would like to get your input on this idea. So is this a good idea or am I thinking all wrong. Thanks Richard

Why are you using (2) tee's and what is the "line valve". Some kind of "check valve"? Not sure you are really going to "save" much air by bleeding just the little section you are trying to make. Probably take thousands of fills of your gun to make up the cost of the extra fittings as compared to what the cost would be for the amount of air to fill a 20" microbore hose.
You put the CGA347 probe right into the bleeder and the bleeder into the "t" Then the gauge into the "tee", and the hose goes into the "t"

Point taken.... : ) I just read what others were talking about loosing the air in the line and they had figured how many fills they are loosing by dumping the line air every time they fill. over time it will save filling. will it ever pay for itself...? Over time maybe. I shoot a lot,,,or use to with bang guns until the prices for loading got so high. once is get set up I and my wife will shoot over 500 round each outing. And when I retire I will be shooting a lot. Will it pay for itself who knows but i do enjoy hearing everyone's input. keep them coming.... : ) this is the tank and fittings I have so far.

It's not cheap but joe b's valve is worth the money. It's a neat package, I have the sane tank you do and my fill assembly doesn't protrude past the side of the tank. It's a lot safer than having fittings sticking way out. Plus his micro bore hose is only one mm ID compared to one I got from Pryramyd which is 4 mm. If you're concerned about bleed off, which most of us are, it's the way to go.
