Got the ole girl back up and running (1322)

It's been a good year. I made the choice to cut down the Lothar Walther barrel in my pumper for a PCP 1322 I had decided to piece together. I thought, surely I'll be able to just call up Crossman and order another.... Well... As with many times in the past... I was wrong. It's taken about a year for me to get my hands on another barrel. But it showed up three days ago.

This is my only pumper, and I have missed it.

Here's my 2 1322's now. The wood grips really belong on the PCP, but the pumper shoots nice with them. It's got a carbine stock that matches the foregrip. I had originally sourced the Tom West furniture simply to have a foregrip with more leverage. The shorter one I was using, coupled with the flat top piston, was actually doing damage to my elbow. Tom West foregrip is much easier on me.

Here's a picture of her from the olden days

I used to order guns from the Custom Shop just to to get the barrels, grips and stocks I was after. Then as soon as they arrived and without even shooting my new Custom Shop guns I would tear them apart and use them for parts on my builds. ;^) Addiction? What addiction.

Yup, guns have a way of changing over the years for sure. Kind of hard to recognize what they have become from what they once were.

Haha, so you're the reason I couldn't get my barrel 😋 they kept telling me they were "out of stock" meaning they were in stock, but they needed what they had to build custom shop guns 😑. I wouldn't cave. Some guys sell the barrel for $100. That was one option, or buying a whole gun...

Hey Bio

How about some info on that bottom 1377 pcp hybrid?

Thanks

Ray

Are you talking about my hybrid?

Yes sir, Sorry about that. Had a senior moment I guess.

So how about some info on that thing? Looks like something out of a Mad Max movie :)

The gun has some hefty ebony target grips that really balance it out. P-rod trigger group as well, and Russian Krugergun pcp conversion. In short 220mm airtube config it has around 165cc volume. 290mm air tube has around 210cc volume. Longer 290mm tube below...

This is a high flow variant of this kit. Meaning the valve is larger, and the port there is much more open than the older version of this kit. With a 7.6" barrel, in .22 caliber I measured 27fpe peak output. I put a regulator in the short tube, and I have it dialed in at 550fps with 16gr AA pellets. At this power level, report is super low. And shot count is very high. The shroud is extremely effective. Using an internal air stripper, and several machined cone baffles.

The barrel like I said, was the LW from the old pumper. I had Whitefang cut and choke it for me. He did a top notch job.

Left hand cocking breech sourced from GMAC. Theirs have super tight tolerances 👍

Vintage Burris 1.25-4x EER pistol scope, and Gravmag 9 shot magazine top it off.
