Finally got my HW85. Like all the other Weihrauch’s, you can stack lead . Has the longer barrel.

Gave it a 3x9x40 Airmax. This will definitely destroy squirrels.

platform in the middle of no man’s land. Rain or shin, doesn’t matter. I think it’s 16 x 16. Great day. Crow

BigT used Hawk med. I really like BKL, my buddy had them on a 97 lam. Nice jewelry. When their available I’ll definitely score a few sets. Good luck.
Thanks seangabrell, hard to complain about a 77 I have a .25 on order now.
The shooting range getting better every time we knock a few more trees down. He’s about 15 miles east of Algonquin Park. Springers only. Crow

That is a beautiful shooting platform and nice looking rifles too. You are lucky to have such a friend.

I have visited Algonquin once and driven highway 17 several times. Two or three years ago, my girlfriend and I were headed to Wawa, Ontario and there were a couple forest fires within sight just south of 17 and north of Algonquin. When we arrived at Sudbury, we were told the highway had been closed. I think we were one of the last cars let thru before they closed the road.

Prompted by the 97 Blue laminates. Random chance I even saw a link to the website and on FB of all places but it checked every box for what I wanted if I was gonna drop a bundle of cash. https://craftsmanvit.com/collections/laminated-custom-stocks

-Blue Laminate. Check. They have other colors but I wanted blue, although that one is called Ocean Grey, first one they ever made in the color and now the one they use to advertise they make them in that color so if you look at their website and see it, that stock is the one made for me :)

-Thumbhole. Check.-Adjustable Cheek rest. Check.-Adjustable butt pad. Check.

They included the Allen wrench for adjusting stuff and a custom made longer rear stock screw. I added the stainless steel front hardware to keep the silver theme rolling.

Opinions may vary but mine says money very well spent :)

Crow will have to tell you for sure, but I think the 85 is just a longer barreled version of the 95 and everything else is the same?? If the actions are the same, that stock would/should fit an 85. Vit is great about answering emails if you want to send him one and ask.

My 95 came with the standard version stock, bought 5 years ago when AoA was selling them for $299.99 so a bit less wood than the Luxus. The laminated stock makes it a bit heavier but I can't honestly say how much since I never set it on the scale to find out. I only shoot it from a shooting table so the bit of extra weight doesn't bother me.

The modern 85 is the same as the 95 but with a longer barrel. The older 85's were a bit different having a screw on rear cap like the R1 and a slightly (very slightly) longer compression tube and higher velocity. The old R10 came in carbine and rifle length barrels, deluxe or standard stocks and had a scope rail, not dovetails. They had a slightly different piston to accommodate the screws that held on the scope rail. Old and new use the same stock, seals, spring etc. Macarri's site states the R10/85 can take a bit more spacing and Vortek shows a flat section design to the guide for scope rail screw clearance.

DualMagMike, I hope to be able to look around a lot more, unfortunately being in Canada I can’t touch a lot. This is my 3rd year into airguns, at the same time 3 yrs. ago I bought myself an excavator and dump truck, got for personal use on own property. Buried water, hydro, no above lines, ponds and yes 2 gun ranges etc. etc. Ate a lot of time. I’m done, just put machines up for sale. When they are gone ( best toys I’ve had ) I will have scores of free time and free up a few shackles for more springers.Again being as green as I am I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and outstanding collection.
