Got outshot by a little kid... great evening.

At our Sportsman’s Club we have a junior program where we teach kids from 6 years old and up to 18 the basics of archery and also target shooting with firearms (.22 rimfire) and BB guns for the younger kids. Tonight for the first time I brought out the Compatto. This was the first time this young miss shot the Compatto her first 10 shot string on the left, the second 10 string on the right both at 50 yards with 15.9 JSBs. I couldn’t believe she shot such a group. After the range was cold we ran towards the target, because I told her I wanted to keep it and post it as my own. Anyway that young lady shooting so well made my evening.

Very nice! It's positive interactions at an early age that shape us. When I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, I remember when my brother and I used to fish at a local pond for tiny bluegills. Then one day some teenage (a much older person) casted out to the middle of the pond with a WHOLE NIGHTCRAWLER, on a hook with a "dipsey" lead sinker. After a while he catches (to us) a HUGE carp. I've been fishing ever since.

That experience will surely be add to her "this is what enjoying life with friends is about" memories when she gets older. And besides, she is a good shot!

Gentlemen, thank you for your kind replies. It was a rewarding evening, we get a lot of young lads. But the young girls are really special, because they grow up to be mothers and wives. And we all know the ladies are boss when it comes to allowing their children to shoot, or even allowing guns in the household at all.

@JamesD, thank you for your kind offer, which is enough. Maybe you can help out a group local to you? Rest assured that there are many Americans all across our great country still mentoring the young in our unique American values and traditions.
