Got out on a (cold) squirrel hunt with the RTI Prophet

I just watched this on YouTube. YouTube is all I watch, no need for anything else. I really like your tree squirrel hunting videos. Winter hunting tree squirrels it pretty challenging. I enjoy the honesty in your stuff. Just like on this hunt when you only bagged one squirrel. You were still pleased just to have a day in the woods with a new toy. It is good when new hunters see that even an experienced hunter does not always limit out & is still content. Thank you for being a role model for air rifle hunters & enthusiast. Oh, the Prophet ain't bad either.

Wow, you can still hear that ping/squeal of the RTI regulator just like the Priests. I like my Priest...a nice balance of small size, light weight and robust build. I'd like to see them chamfer the edges more to make it more comfortable and I wish they offered longer barrel and slug options, like FX does. I do recall a longer target barrel is coming for the Prophet.

Glad you liked the video, it is nice to know the they're appreciated. I hunt because it's a big part of my life and it's what I do. Writing comes naturally and pretty easy for me...... but man the videos....... they take a lot of work!

Squirrel hunting is still one of my favorite things to do. Even though I have a lot of private land to hunt, I really like hitting the public lands.... if that means fewer squirrels, that's fine. What nutcracker said is the truth, being out and on the hunt is a reward in and of itself.

Some people seem to think because I like the Prophet I prefer it over the Impact. I like a lot of guns, and if it's one that's a good fit for me to hunt with I'll use it. Because the Prophet and Impact have similarities some think the Prophet is an FX knockoff, or the the Prophet replaces the Impact. I don't think either of these statements is true. They are different guns and I like them both for what they are.

I've only had the one barrel on the Prophet I was loaned. On the gun I've ordered would like to try some of the other calibers.... the arrow barrel as well. I agree with you Daniel, some minor refinements would improve the ergonomics..
