Got my SK-19 back from warranty repair

It was only ten days ago I finally decided to send my sk-19 off for warranty repair. After the huge fiasco with barrel replacements. Wow ten days is quick thanks AOA! About time something went right with this gun. I shot some groups with the new barrel and many different pellets several of them grouped one inch to an inch and a quarter or half at 75 yards with half the groups having a flyer. The gun did take a liking to the JSB 25.39gr Monsters at 950-960fps shooting them the best. I shot this six shot group and several other groups at or near this size but also several with a flyer one inch from the main group as well. Don't know whats up with the flyers something I will have to figure out.

When I had something like that happen I adjusted the ocular against a bare wall and the problem went away. Glad to see you got it back and fixed. AOA has always done right by me.

Yes, I am having a bit of trouble with the scope and fitment. The mounts are to low and this causes me to tilt my head which I cannot do as it causes vertigo. Brain and inner ear damage say the doctors. So I really fought with this when shooting the groups this day. Going to put some higher scope mounts on it right away. Not sure that will help with the flyers or not though. Guess we will see.

Had a UTG 20MOA riser just sitting around so I put it on and WOW what a difference it made! Very comfortable to shoot now and no more vertigo, tweaked out brain or crossed eyes to deal with. Now it looks like it's time to hit the range again. ;^)

Well after two barrel exchanges and then sending the whole gun in for a warranty repair the barrel is finally right. It shoots just a little better and I am surprised by that looking at how ugly that first barrel was. I figured it would shoot much better. Still I can't complain about this group just hope I can get rid of the fliers.

Brother fixed the straps for the case for me too new eyelets with leather to secure them a bit better. So, things are looking up.

1 flier looks like wind or dmg'd pellet, other 2 either heavier pellets than the rest (by a lot, if unweighed) or reduced velocity due to other reasons due to their vertical dispersion.

Have you had it across the chronograph to check for any anomalies such as a shot or two with a large spread in fps?

Yes I did run them over the chrony and was surprised when it said max spread for five shots was only about 7fps so should be good enough.

Yes, unsorted pellets will not give me the best results but I just got out of sorting, weighing and roll sorting my 25 pellets by going to slugs. It is hard to start up all of that again although I know it is necessary for the best accuracy.

Wind is a problem at the range as well I seldom get more than three shots off before it changes.
