Got my barrel tuner today

Another first world problem here.

The barrel tuner came before my gun I have been waiting for near five months for.

Looks like crap but was packaged very well so came from the factory this way.

Is it just me or have the rest of you been getting what looks like reject parts from FX as well?

Regulator rod was sent to me like this unusable and worse than the one I had just removed from the gun.

They did replace it after I sent pics and several emails but I paid for the part which should have been warrantied.

The trigger sear I got was a bit rough as well.

I also bought three moderator parts and they were dinged up too although not as bad as the barrel tuner.

Oops almost fergot the ugly poor shooting liner I got too. I also had to return it. New one was great though.

Unless someone is blind these defects can easily be seen.

I love my Impact but really?

Then again they replaced my rear block for no charge, a $200 part, even when my gun was slightly past warranty. Go figure.

I really don't mind a few dings on my stuff but I would rather put the first few of them there myself.

Really hard to say kudos and boo in the same breath but that is they way it is.

And yes I could use a little bread with my whine.

Dude at fx prices you should have flawless workmanship. I mean some mistakes come with any manufacturing regardless of price but it seems like quality control should have caught that before it went out. Fx makes some amazing innovative parts. The barrels are particularly impressive with how they can just design one and make it in one in an hour. That allows for some pretty impressive testing capabilities. However I have read several posts now of people complaining about imperfections in their products. For now I am staying away from them. I like more classical looks anyway so perhaps air arms is just more my style. It's possible that they are trying to keep up with their considerable demand and the speed of manufacturing is causing a few flaws to manifest. At any rate they will give you a new one but it sucks you have to deal with that.

Bio, So sorry. That looks unacceptable!!! I picked up the first available Harmonic Tuner from the Utah Aurguns store the day after RMAC and it was as you would expect. Perfect. Your "new" Reg rod replacement is worse than my bad "old" one! I got a new "warranty" reg kit today from FX and this is one is very much new and not "second hand" gouged. Hmmm?

It sure does not look new and that is what I paid for. I am expecting my M3 to look good, if it ever gets here, so would prefer the barrel tuner to look the same.

Probly near a quarter of what I receive from everywhere is beat up or defective or needs werqed on just to function. I expect that from China, India and Turkey but not from Sweden, Germany and the USA. Not much I can do about it. I all but gave up and just accepted it for many years but now I am on the warpath. I want new stuff that fits, functions and looks new cuz it should be that way!!! Grrr...

There, now that the whining is over with, my Eaglevision scope cam, from the UK, just arrived and is just gorgeous. ;^) The fit and finish on every single piece, and there are many, is perfect.

The poor quality reports for FX products certainly are numerous these days. One does have to consider the quantity of sales items though Not sure what the issues are at FX. At least there are other manufacturers to shop at. Not saying they would be any better though, but certainly less quality issue reports with lower sales numbers.

Got my new Barrel tuner today, it got here in a hurry. The finish on it is easily two or thee times as bad as the one I sent back so looks like crap. ;^( I have not seen any others all scratched up like the two I have received. Don't know what is up but this one is going back as well. GRRR... Bad FX

Hope my M3 isn't all scratched up when it finally gets here after five months of waiting.

Biohazardman, who did you buy them from. I received mine yesterday from Utah Airguns and it was in pristine condition! There is absolutely no reason why you should begetting stuff that has been beat to hell.

Okay, this is my warranty story with both M3. On April First M3 compact came with manufacture defect on Picatinny rail. But FX has stated that it is a cosmetic issue and not covered by warranty. Also the first regulator creep because set screw o-ring problem. So finally after three weeks I received replacement o-rings.

Last month the second M3 sniper came with first regulator leak air, liner locker problem and rust everywhere. I called dealer and been told 80% fx rifles came with rust in recent days. So they don't cover the rust issue, I need to contact FX for warranty. After back and forth several phone calls and email with FX, after almost one month I received several warranty parts from FX. I also been told they will not fulfill my request in the future for surface rust on objects. Because it is purely cosmetic on some areas and is not covered under warranty. FX suggested that I should thoroughly wipe the rifle down before storing to prevent surface rust.

The warranty valve from FX is rust too. But I don't want to argue these cosmetic issue any more.
