Big fat nutria that kept visiting for the last few days so I sent him on his way..

my scope only will focus down to 25 yards and he was sitting at 20 so it’s out of focus, but none the less..

I’ve seen several of these so I’m sure there will be more in the future.

Wow! That is huge. They're supposed to live in my area and when out riding my bicycle in the early morning I look for them. So far all I see are turtles and herons.

The nutria are invasive, a lot like a muskrat but these have a round hairy tail like a rat. This one was almost 20" long not including the tail. easily 15 pounds. Got him with the Fx Impact X >25 caliber with added power plenum using the JSB mk2 34 grain pellets at about 960 FPS. On the lookout for more!!
