got another Prod, was going to put a longer LW barrel

and a carbine stock on it.

Just to see how it was shooting in stock form, I loaded it with AA 18 gr., sighted it in, and it was sacking them at 25 yds., then some H&N 14.66,they were almost as good.....now for some RWS Meisterkugeln 14gr. those went 1" higher and 1" to the left of my aim point...that surprised me in how different the point of impact was....the RWS are flat heads the other 2 dome, maybe that is the difference?

Back to my point, the stock Prod shoots so good I can not justify putting another barrel on it...

Question, have other owners of the Prod found it to be as accurate as the one I have? Thank you.

Mine shoots great also. I have absolutely no complaints. As an added bonus this thing loves 14,3 Crosman premiers. The pic is 3 shots at 20 yds off a bag with Crosman pellets. This thing is one fun gun

yes that would be hard to justify unless you were trying to build one to conpete with or something .. its accurate and light n handy enough to get on something fast .. small stuff like squirrels rats and smaller rabbits etc almost never survive once the prod is after them .. if i had a second one id mod it with all the hill parts for max power and see if the accuracy holds up .. a donnyfl adapter and ldc makes it even stealthier to, i used to avoid shooting by the backnfence even though its overgrown and i cant see the neighbors its alittle too loud to stay incognito back there, but with the ldc that area is 'workable' now ...

yes, all mine were that accurate out of the box ( most anyways, theres always a lemon somewhere, even with LW) and unless you are doing a competition or power build I don’t see a need to replace it either, although i have one in a p-rod as well for FT. Never heard a complaint from any of the squirrels I shot using the Crosman barrels though.

Bought mine back in 2012, had Mac1 give it the once over right after I bought it. Added a marmot militia LDC. It loved the brown box crosman premiers, but shoots the .22 Blue Marlin 21.14 best.

Pic with the soda can tops is from 60’, single rat got his ear cleaned and another ear shot + two heart/lung shots from 40’.

(Took out the rat shot pics, not sure if they are acceptable outside the hunting section)

As far as I know those extension tubes for the Prod aren’t available any longer. the tubes tied together with a threaded male x male fitting. Talon Tunes sells a similar but shorter extension for the Marauder rifle.

I’ve heard that Don Cothran has made custom tubes for the Prod but I don’t think he advertises that on his website. You would probably have to call or email him about it.

The Prod breech won’t fit a Disco tube or a Fortitude tube either. What SteveV built from his Prod is exactly what everyone had hoped the Fortitude would have been but Crosman kind of screwed that up by making the Fortitude regulated to compete with the Gauntlet while at the same time making sure the Fortitude and Maximus fit into the same stock. And unfortunately it’s not as easy to modify the Fortitude as it is the Prod. It’s a real shame that Crosman based the Fortitude on the Maximus platform rather then on a stretched Prod.
