Good signs of bounty seen this morning…

On a walk this morning in the neighborhood my friend lives near Lake Travis I saw some kit foxes and 2 deer, a doe and a fawn (I believe). One of the kit foxes let me get surprisingly close, around 6 yards. The fox and I just stood there looking at each other. Then about 15 minutes later I come across the doe and her fawn, again we just looked at each other and they went back to grazing as I walked away. I took the photos with my iPhone XR.

According to the beliefs of Native American culture having deer and a fox cross your path are good signs.

The deer represents bounty to come. The fox symbolizes a problem / task / issue you are having can be overcome with a positive outcome.

Yesterday I completed my 6th interview with this company I really want to work for, and this morning after I see the foxes and deer. So I am taking all of this as a good sign.

I saw a young fox this morning on my walk, We see raccoons almost every night as we put out feed for them, and an occasional possum. A couple of days ago I looked out and saw a roadrunner very briefly. One of the neighbors has been feeding some young foxes that he says are living in a culvert under his driveway.. My wife and I pulled up and saw one sitting beside the road, and he stayed long enough for me to take several pictures, but that has been a few years., I also saw a mother fox and about six kits playing in a grassy area next to the highway and a loop around a local town, late one afternoon, they were in the sunlight so the red color of their fur really popped that day.

@qball, yes the company pays well. The other jobs I am interviewing for are in a totally different industry. So far I have had 4 interviews for the EHS manager position, one with HR and 3 with VPS, the standard stuff. The former wants me to build their EHS safety program for their offshore wind projects.

Speaking of offshore wind. If you like or your kids like cranking wrenches and working on stuff I recommend looking into a career as an offshore wind technician. Of course, most of the jobs will be coastal and pay VERY well. I am estimating an offshore wind technician will start at $80,000 one fully trained, etc. Just a FYI if anyone is looking for a new career or have kids searching for a career path.

@KWK I think the fox was just young,, not rabies. It was pretty small and curious. However, I am feel that any hunter, at some level, believes in the Native American symbolize of the Natural World, and what certain things symbolize of things to come.

Driving home the other day. Last turn before our drive. Two fawns, still wearing spots, standing beside the road. I stopped rolled down the window and talked with them for a minute or so. One started to walk over to the car. I hated to do it but jerked open the door and ran at them yelling I would eat them. No point in teaching the to trust men.

It was a blessing.
