Good Portable Shooting Table

"DRAGON64"
"CampFussell"I had the Caldwell Stable table and it was just too dang heavy to lug around in the carry bag when traveling with it..

I haven't done it yet, but plan to buy this and a sheet of plywood and a couple 2x4's and make my own personal table.

Jimmy
I built one of these, and love it! The legs are extremely stable, so the table is too!
Thanks for the tip Jimmy. Probably will be my next project! I shoot out in thre desert so things have to be portable!

Hello, I have the DIY shooting table I mentioned earlier in this thread, but I also have a commercially available shooting "table", all self contained . . . chair is attached and swivels and the rifle rest is also adjustable. Here it is: Kind of pricey . . . but works just fine and not too heavy at all to carry into the field. FredSG

And sitting on it will not get tired back, I have some problems with the lower back, so I worry.

Best regards,
Liam

Just built this one this weekend.

no fasteners no hard wear fits together like a kids puzzle, which makes it difficult for me to figure out.

Hi; just how portable does it have to be. Will it be loaded and unloaded everytime from a vehicle or will it be stored on site ? My set-up consists of chef stainless steel small kitchen table (weather proof +++) from cosco, like $70. I got it to use as a microwave stand. 20 pounds maybe lighter and sturdy. And a short legged wood (kitchen ?) stool .got it from wal-mart,$20.Would'nt be at all to hard to throw in the back of a truck or van. As long as it's not to far from your shooting station. So you have to make 1 extra trip for the stool, whew ! Ain't gonna have a heart attack.I keep them in my shed right next to where I shoot. Takes me about a minute to open the shed, bungee cord the door to the nearby fence, carry table and then stool outside, grab my shooting block and bags which are on a tray, lay tray and all on table, grab my rifle and pellets and I'm in business,oh yea.ehh,I get carried away sometimes pecking on this keyboard.sry
