Good day for the Bantam Sniper HR

Today I took the Bantam Sniper down to the dairy. I was feeling lucky. First rat of the day was the small guy at 40 yards on power level 4. The next two were at twenty yards on power level 3. Rats number 4-6 were taken at 50 yards on power level 6. I got two more rats then shown, I wasn’t able to recover them. Also shot two pigeons, the first at 54 yards, the second at 25 yards. It was a good day for the Bantam, not so much for the pests. I’ve had the Bantam a month now, it is proving to be as deadly as my Compatto.

The photo with my feet shows the small area I have to shoot into from 50 yards away. And them rats don’t stay still for long. So I always have to be prepare to take quick, accurate shots.

Nice shooting. Those are some big rats. 


I have the same rifle. Does changing the power level affect the poi?

Yes, it does and it’s why I do it, otherwise I would overshoot, especially on the closer critters. Just experiment when you are shooting. For instance on power level 6 my JSB 18s are zeroed at 50 yards. At power level 4 my Crosman Premiers have the same zero, I wouldn’t say to bench rest standards, but certainly good enough for pesting.

Luis, awesome pesting on 8 huge rattus and pigeons! You have your Bantam dialed in beautifully on the different power levels combined with different pellet weights! Hope you have that info written down...I’d forget while pesting!

I just ask the particular pest to please “standby” while I check my “dope” for their JSB delivery... works every time, well almost. 😊
