Golf rangefinder questions

Got a better than expected deal on rangefinder & borescope.

Rangefinder turns out to read to 900 yards, has angle and cosine corrected distance, height, AND speed of vehicles you track. Great for NASCAR fans.
Also have an old binocular style Bushnell Yardage Pro 450 I paid $25.00 for 12 years ago. Yeah, time to upgrade. But it reads in any weather out to 200 yards, won’t go below 20 yards.

I’ve looked through high end Swarovski, Bushnell’s & a cool little amazing Leica Sigma owns. This Bozily worked great for my application (airgun & archery) but in bad weather which is when I shoot distance most it kept reading 12 yards as 97% humidity misty rain must have been the problem. Does that occur with all golf rangefinders?

I email company and explained. Give them Amazon order # and they ask if I’d like a V3 free. Sure, but will it read accurately in snow, rain, and fog out to 300 yards?
The V1 goes from get this 1-900 yards, up or down 45*. V3 calibrated 5-1200 yards same 45* up/down, angle & speed + rechargeable. V2 is 5-1500 yards most expensive but no USB port.

I don’t know golf rangefinders. Are they all super sensitive to weather? I’ve understood that the power of the laser and sensitivity of the reading chip is what determines how far out you can get a reading. Are all golf, or just Bozily too sensitive or not powerful enough? Very clear picture for cheap and 6x view.

Fog interferes with the lasers ability to range the distance.. Range finders have two lenses on the front of unit. One is transmit and one is receive. The laser bounces off of object and back to the range finder receive sensor. Range finders usually have specs on them. They range shiny objects better at long distances than trees or animals. If it is a 900 yard range finder that is under the absolute best of conditions. Low humidity, clear weather, shiny object to target.

Thanks guys.

Yes the size & reflective efficiency of ranged target is noted. My old Bushnell has a hard time getting a read off a house past 400 yards. The little cheap Bozily V1 reads same house easily and trees beyond it to 568.
It might get a reading off a big reflective surface at 900 but I doubt it.

If the new V3 they send reads small targets in snow to 400 I’ll be thrilled.
