going to get into pcp at some point

i do not own any kind of pcp or have ever shot one . have been shooting springers and pumpers 177 and 22 for a while now and am going to make the jump to pcp as soon as money allows . anyways my question is i really like the looks of the dar 25 and have read and watched all the info on it i can find i read this fourm every day and very rarely does any one talk about the dar rifles just wondered if any one has any commets good or bad

I hate to say it but on GTA, you'll find more talk about the budget airguns there compared to AGN which covers more topics on the higher end airguns. Just my observations.

Agree, the two forums really don't compete,

They overlap to a certain degree but overall AirgunNation has more content trending towards High end products and GTA is leaning more towards the more affordable products.

GTA is old and dusty, from a time when most shooters struggled with money and life in general.

Well some of us are poor and can only afford guns in a certain price range,.....I come to AirgunNation to read about guns I will never afford to buy and live through the people that can,

I come to AirgunNation to look at the classified and see some many guns I cannot afford but sometimes we also need to dream.

The old green board on GTA was quite the place.

Reading the old archive post now showed a forgotten time where men were once masculine and spoke like men.

Lost forever now

With all things going the cancerous way of M&M's,lets hope for the hobby in another 5yrs.

Wrt gta vs agn: i dont care, as they say “ it takes all kinds”

wrt the original question, for a new to pcp guy, I suggest going second hand. Thry something with a regulator at least, and as high quality as possible. I love the old edguns and kalibrguns, and the fx royale. Since they are not the newest, they are more affordable while retaining best possible quality. They will just not have the lastest doo das etc, but they will not shoot any less for it.

My budget minded coworker picked up a .25 cal Air Venturi Avenger, which is also in your price range. It does have a lot of the modern features, side charger, externally adjustable regulator, picatinny scope rail, etc.. It was also surprisingly quiet at max power with JSB Diablos.

Used is also a great option, but it does help knowing people who already have PCP guns. You are rolling the dice when you pick up something used on the internet. You may be inheriting someone else's problem child they forgot had issues because it's been sitting in their safe for so long. It is a safe bet going with a used premium gun like DutchMike has mentioned.

thanks all for the advice i have looked at the air venturi my biggest fear is i live in a very rural area around 1000 people i am one of a few airgunners of any kind and would be the only pcp guy at least that i know of so would be on my own as far as well everything . any ways thanks guys will keep researching until i pull the trigger and fall into what you guys call the rabbit hole.

Start of with something solid and reliable like a Urban ( you hardly ever hear of something going wrong with them ).
