Hey. Has anyone compared the video quality using an iPhone 11 using a side shot and a go pro 7 black side by side. I have the side shot with the iPhone 11 and it works good. But I’ve never been able to capture a pellet in flight. Just wanna know if the go pro is better in any way as compared to the he iPhone 11? . My basic need is to capture pellet in flight to see how my pellets do at various speeds.

The I phones are hard to top. My guess is both will do it and the critical element is probably the optics more then the camera.
I got the set up for the go pro because I want to use the I phone as a remote for the thru the rifle scope (tactacam). I’m kinda in to this. I still can’t get the videos that Bob O is getting.
Editting might play a part too. It’s not easy to do.- This reply was modified 6 months ago by bubblerboy64.

The Gopro HERO7 Black also does 1080p in 240fps (and 2.7K in 120fps), so it would only help you if only need 120fps or if it has better low-light performance (i.e. bigger sensor).

July 19, 2020 at 2:21 am LinkI just wanna know if it makes sense to invest in a Go pro. Using the iPhone am never able to catch the pellet in flight. Wondering if the go pro is any better since they both have the same frame rate.

August 29, 2020 at 12:59 am LinkI have a iPhone XR and Go Pro Hero 7 Black, but I no mounts. My understanding is, at least with the Eagle Vision you have to remove the front cover lenses of the GoPro, thus no waterproof. I am not sure if you have to do the former SideShot. So translation if you use the GoPro for one than one thing, sports and shooting, then you might want to stick with the phone option. And I know on my GoPro you lose image stabilization at 240 frames per second. But the Go Pro is far more durable by factors of 10 than my iPhone.

You do have to remove the water-tight lens cover on the GoPro to use it in a Side-Shot mount… it's because the cover has to be removed to fit into the Super-Suit waterproof housing that is used on the Side-Shot rig.

Thanks buddy. Even I’ve felt that’s while the iPhone is good, the slow motion stuff pellet in flight stuff can only be picked up using a go pro.

Christmas Coupons, and I didn't see much difference between both of them, you can buy easily whatever you want.
