Girlfriends first time shooting a gun!

I had an awesome day today and I am tickled pink that I could share a first with my GF in the fact that she has never even touched a gun before never mind shot one .....well she did today with my new PCP FX Independence .22 and wow she is a natural .....GUYS!!! she was hitting golf ball sized targets offhand at 75 yards!!!!
I told her that that was extremely impressive and I know that she thinks that I am just saying that to make her feel good!
I told her that I was going to post this here and will give her a link to this so she can see your comments .....I ask you this is it not almost unheard of that she is hitting golf ball sized targets at 75+ yards offhand first time out?
Thanks for your time and responses!
Thanks Nicole for allowing me to share this awesome first with you!

Great shooting. I've taught a lot of women over the years how to shoot (mostly with handguns as that's been my primary focus, but rifles as well) and it's been my experience that female students generally shoot better than male students. Part of this is physiology; women have a lower center of gravity and generally have lesser upper body strength, both advantages when shooting offhand. But I think part of it is psychology; my perception is that women have less ego-involvement and thus listen and learn faster.

Congratulations again to both you and Nicole, Jonathan.

"1kshooter"She will shoot mine for a little bit haha ....but next time I will take the spring gun along as well, my arms are killing from pumping the FX all day long haha
its all good though and very worth it!

Don't forget you can also tether the gun from a regulated bottle at the bench too,I have the same gun as you ordered and on the way from Airgun Source, due Monday or Tuesday.
Congrats on getting her shooting ,that is good shooting offhand for sure..kelly

Unless you plan on marrying her, I advise against arming her. Women get angry. Angry women with guns who can shoot like that are REALLY dangerous. That is impressive though.

I remember when I was a kid my dad was shooting a BB gun in the back yard. He offered to let my mother try. She'd never touched a gun. He put a dime in a nook in a stump and told her to hit it. Open sights mind you. At about 10 yards, with open sights, she nailed the dime on her first shot. She still won't let my dad forget about that.

I would be tickled also. I want my wife to learn how to handle a gun. I want to start her off on a realistic BB pistol and take her to the range with a firearm. Not that I am a doomsday prepper or think she will actually need to use a gun. I think it enhances your mental focus and consciousness. She could use an outlet to release some frustration also.

Thanks guys, I feel that every person of sound mind should at least be given the option to try there hand at marksmanship and both of my children have been shooting since the time they were able to hold a bb gun lol ....my daughter is in Sea Cadets and shoots once a week with a air rifle as part of her Marksmanship training ...she is also on the Marksmanship team and the Cadet cor Biathlon team shooting .22 rim fire, I am one very proud daddy!
