Getting expensive

That is a great looking gun. I have been considering a Cricket and selling my WildCat .177.
Did the same as you Smok3y. Bought a Marauder .25. Then got tired of the shop filling my tank for me so I rented a 6K psi tank and I was good for a while. But then as I started shooting more because I had the air, I started using that thing up in about 6 weeks. So, I bought a compressor. Best thing I ever did for my airgun hobby. Now I can fill my bottle and not worry about air at all. And I shoot a LOT. Today I went through almost 2 tins of JSB 13's just tuning my RAW .177.
Yeah there is no "cheap" way to go. If you want accuracy, you have to buy a decent quality gun. But like everyone else is saying, if you get your hands on a Daystate Redwolf, you will throw rocks at that Marauder.

Oh yeah. I see. That is the one that is installed, and I see that the original doesn’t have the notch. I can see how that would make it easier. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have a spare and it is killing me. I need to get her some glass so I can take her out.

You can actually mod that side plate youself with a dremel just as easy as how you do to the Ruger 10/22 for the quick auto bolt release using a dremel.

Saltlake58, you're doing better than I am brother. I've been averaging close to $3K a year for the last 5 years! The Thomas alone was close to $4K, not counting the Sightron sitting on top of it! LOL My mom left me a small inheritance which is the only way I could have afforded it though.
I'm regressing right now. Been playing with a little Gamo Urban today. I would have thought this baby was the cat's meow 5 years ago! It's fun to play with the less expensive toys as well.

This year is going to be an expensive one!!! Thomas on order and looking at a Delta Stryker 5-50x for its optics. Between the 2 thats over 5k,,,,,good thing i work 7 days a week lol.

Awesome, you're gonna love it. Mine sets the golden standard that my other guns are compared against inside 40 yds.
Getting closer to 50 yds and beyond, the wind starts to even out the score with the higher powered Crickets and heavier pellets.
Did you order a shroud for the barrel? I shot mine unshrouded for almost 2 yrs before I got a shroud for it. Now that it's shrouded I love it even more!

I haven’t spent a ton yet, because it has been mostly trying out and swapping for now. I was hoping when I got rid of my $6k rifle scope combo, It would fund 3-4 sweet setups between the two sports. I can still do that but it won’t be as easy as I thought, especially if I cave in on the compressor. I didn’t realize the cost of these rifes when I started and thought I would be happier with lesser scopes, but I should have known. It is fun so far and I’ve barely gotten going!

Agree with all - Airguns are kind of like Solar Panels - if you get them for free they can save you money immediately, otherwise the cost tends to take a while to recoup. For me, they are just a pleasure to shoot with none of the negatives of shooting traditional firearms.

Fuss I ordered mine with a 15" barrel gray laminate wood and a shroud. Just ordered a mestro design scropion butthook for it and Rowan Engineering adjustable forend and hampster. Color wise black and silver in a combination I haven't seen before. It is suppose to be done around Feb some time. II plan in useing it for open class FT shooting.

That sounds awesome. Yeah, it's a long wait when ya place that order. Took mine about 4 months. I've got the long barrel. She measures about 23.75". Guess I could power it up for Open class BR if I wanted to? LOL
That shorter barrel will really come in handy on FT. especially the forced positions.

Have an Ares BTR on the way. Have an ETR too, but think I will prefer the lighter weight of the BTR.
