Georgia Air guns F-

Thought about it for a very long time, this was my experience . Last year I bought a cricket carbine 22 cal . its a laser I did not have to do a thing to it . Was set up by Charlie & he did his magic to it . This summer I bought a cricket mini 22 ( Read my post Come on Fed Ex!!!! ) my apologies FedEx . The mini came with a cracked stock- the plate behind the cocking lever was dented also . Thought this was shipping so contacted Charlie- he said he would send me another stock but enjoy the gun till it arrives- a week goes buy no stock so I call him he says I need to send the whole gun back-That's not what I was told the week earlier something fishy here I think . In the mean time my wife is on my a$$ to get my money back . I decide to pull the action off the stock to see why the stock broke , to my surprise the frigun thing had been REPAIRED yes the crack was epoxied & restained on the inside . You do not want to know my cuss words when I seen that !! Too top it off the sling stud that was put into the front rail would not even accept the sling & the other hole had a weird looking screw in it . I PAID for a NEW GUN not someone else's piece of sh*t . That gun should never had been sent to me in the first place as new . He had it apart to work on it so no excuse not seeing it he installed the hst & front rail plus sling studs so no excuse on any of it .I had that done so all I had to do was go out shooting . Hell the crack stuck out like a sore thumb . When I asked about the repaired crack he told me maybe the manufacture did the repair I call that B.S. So I was not offered another mini but only uragan or kozak hell if I wanted one of them I would of bought it in the first place . Besides I got SCREWED once not going to happen twice from the same person !!!!! He said he'll send the money out the next day- so a week go's buy no money- I call about the money he says I'll send it out tomorrow well another week later it finally arrives Yes I got my money back but had to pay half the shipping cost to send it back . I'm still pissed off with that transaction . Sorry no pictures my wife deleted them the other day from her phone while at the doctors office & I gave her a piece of my mind on that one too because that was my proof ! All I have to say is buyer beware He'll never get my business again !! rant over Darell

Darell, I first would like to say that I screwed up . There is no excuse for me not catching that stock was cracked. I work on a lot of guns and I still do not remember if I repaired that stock or not, none the less I should not have sent it out. My apologies. I do need to make it very clear, that was a new gun, you were the first person here in America other than myself to use/ shoot that gun.

I feel there are a few things worth mentioning. The sling studs I installed in that stock are the same type I have used for the last five years, you are the first and only one to have a problem with them. The screw that I used to attach the weaver rail with is the same flush mount stainless steel machine threaded screw that I have used for years, once again you are the first and only one to have a problem with a screw. Also, I did not charge you for the rail, studs or the installation of them.

You mentioned a dented cover plate, occasionally due to the close tollerance of the lever closing on the plate, the cover plate will get a small dent in them. My personal .25 Cricket is slightly dented and it works fine. I am not sure if the gun left here with that dent or not, I take full blame for it if it did. I do know the gun had exceptional accuracy and proper function.

I feel the most important part of this transaction that you failed to mention is that you were disappointed with the power level of the Mini Carbine. Even though I went through this gun and gave it a partial power tune to where is was producing approximately five more foot pounds of energy than a stock Mini Carbine.

As a dealer I had the right to send you a new stock and let you install the studs and weaver rail yourself, as I could have sent you a new cover plate also. Being that you were unhappy with the power level of this gun even after a partial powertune, I did not see a way to make you happy by anything other than a refund. Also it is fair to mention that I still have that gun in stock as well as another new Mini Carbine that you said you were not interested in due to it's lack of power. The power level is what it is, the mini Carbine has a shorter barrel and is able to develop a certain amount of power in relation to the length of the barrel as all other PCP's.

There are two main things that I have learned from this transaction. No matter how hard I try I will make mistakes and I won't be able to please everyone all the time. I also learned whenever there is going to be a refund or replacement I must get the reason's why from the customer in writing so that I have proper documentation to substantiate my position.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope you are still able to enjoy your airgunning.

Sincerely

Charlie Frear, Georgia Airguns

Charlie there are a few things that I have learned from this also . I failed to keep documentation of all phone calls & what was said to the Tee (my fault)- pictures of damage (relying on my wife to keep my documentation) she deleted them ( one of MY bigger mistakes also) . So put your self in my shoes what would YOU THINK when you found what I did of a new gun that was over $1700 . Sit there & think about it for awhile, was I not nice talking to you on the phone about it ? Okay I can agree with you on the stainless screw that held the bottom rail on but you FAILED to mention that the sling stud was so deep that the locking sling swivel would not attach- might want to look into that . So lets go to the cover plate behind the cocking lever - it had three dents in it not one but three look again .Could this have been from shipping ? possible . But looking at the factory box & the outside cardboard box that it was sent in there was no damage in that area. Now the power of the gun- I didn't say any thing about the power I commented I was unhappy that it did not shoot the 18's (only fair) it shot the 15.89 really good & I believe the 16's also . Now lets go back when I received the gun & told you about the damaged stock & side plate same day (it arrived) remember you had people coming to stay with you because of the hurricane. You said you would send me another stock ,does that sound like I wasn't going to KEEP IT ! A week goes by no stock, so I call you & you said to send it back . That's when I inspected the gun & found the repair & that the sling swivel would not work . Then I called you about it & during are discussion you did not mention about another mini but tried to sell me a Uragan & something else but don't recall . I thought about it for one day then told you I wanted a refund .In which I waited one week then had to remind you again . I don't know what the written documentation is all about hell we TALKED about this on the PHONE & its in black & white & you repeated most of it . I have nothing to hide & I'm also HONEST . If that gun was in 100% condition I would of kept it . Humans make mistake I'll leave it at that . Merry Christmas Darell
