Gen 1 Impact Huma Reg Question

I just got a high power Huma reg for my gen 1 Impact. The instructions for installing are alright, but they do need some clarification. I’m having trouble with the valve disc. The kit comes with 2, but technically the instructions say to install one. They say install the valve disc. Do I put both in or just one? Secondly, the instructions say to mark one side of the valve disc with a sharpie. They never tell you if the marker side goes up or down in the valve housing. It doesn’t really look like there’s a difference between the sides, but I’d like to do it properly. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

One disc is a spare, I installed a Huma in my Crown and it made a world of difference, far better than the FX regulator. Took my Huma a hundred shots or so to settle in and now has zero creep, more shots per charge, faster response time between shots, tighter shot spread that equates to better overall accuracy. I can let Crown sit for weeks now and the first shot has same POI as the rest.

Thanks. I figured one was a spare and that it really didn’t matter what way the disc was put in. I did a little tuning and I’m not impressed so far. It doesn’t matter where I set the reg pressure, I can’t get a 44 grain JSB above 900 FPS. That’s with the hammer spring at Max and the valve knob all the way out. I tried to tune for 850 fps and if I fill the gun to 250 bar, the first few shots were around 800 fps and then it would rise to 850. It did get better as I continued to tune, but after a tin of pellets and a fill bottle worth of air, it’s still shooting the first two shots at a low velocity.
