Gas Ram owners what scopes are you using

Two years ago I called Vortex as I heard their Diamondback scopes were springer rated. I had to verify and one quick call to vortex and now I know that future springers and gas rams will get the diamondbacks

I did myself and traded a few emails with a gentleman in Customer Service named Clay back in October who said I was more than welcome to share this info on air gun forums, soooo.....

Hope this helps anyone considering possible scopes for air rifles. 'Course...I'd also err on the side of caution and still consider either a Sportsmatch Dampa mount or the Diana Bullseye ZR if you can find one :)

Awesome brother for the research.

I have a new Vortex Diamondback Tactical. I AM IMPRESSED!!!!!! Very clear glass and a forgiving eye location and numbers on the reticle. Easy to remember a number for long range and move one mark up or down and with the FFP I do not worry about 16X at 40 and 20X at 60 yards. It stays the same. Fantastic scope.

However beware, this scope has a little round pin with two holes in it on the bottom of the scope. This interferes with the Diana Bullseye mount and will not allow the mount to function as it hits the bottom of the mount.

I have it on my Diana 350 at the moment and with around 600 rounds it has not died yet. With this rifle most scopes that are going to break will do so within the first 200 rounds.

Yep I am impressed with Vortex.

Cheers

I have a Vector Optics Marksman 10x44 on my 22 FPE Crosman Diamondback. They're currently $112 at opticsplanet, but are back-ordered right now.

It has nice clear glass, side focus, 30 mm tube, a screen for the front instead of hood, and rubber bikini caps. It's a very high quality scope. Another member, blackdiesel I think, recommended it to me; said he has about four of them. (though his are all on PCPs) I looked at the warranty and it is solid, so I decided to give 'er a try. It's holding up great so far, after a few hundred rounds.

The mount is just a typical cheap UTG one-piece mount, but it has the stop pin engaged and thread-locked.

Even though they catch a lot of flack for being lack-luster, my go-to scopes for springer are UTG's. I've had them on everything from TX200's to Hatsan 125 w/ a Crosman NPS. Sometimes they die but it takes a while, and UTG has a lifetime warranty. Had good luck with Hawke vantage/airmax/sidewinders as well.

The Sightron SI 4-12x40 is also superb.

I have a sightron and it's pretty good especially for the price
