Gamo Swarm Magnum!

Is anyone else as excited by this thing as I am?? https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Gamo_Swarm_Magnum_Multi_shot_Air_Rifle/4560/8896

I know Gamo is often sneered at, and those who sneer usually have plenty of good cause to be doing so, but I own a Gamo Swarm and Gamo Magnum and it looks like this new variant takes from best of both and adds a better stock. I love how easy the swarm shoots and it is kind of accurate with cheap ammo, a good plinker and a good woods walking squirrel gun for my 12 year old. The Magnum, after a lot of shooting and some tuning is down right deadly and will compete with springers of MUCH HIGHER COST. They don't have the german care of quality but I'll take function over fashion any day, personally.

Does anyone know a release date or have any insider info on this thing??

"fishinwrench"I'd be all over that if it weren't for the stock. I can't stand the looks and feel of a thumbhole type stock. I'm surprised at how popular that style of stock is.
Of they offered a choice in stocks I think they'd double the sales on most rifles.
I know where you're coming from, I used to say the same. Since then I've bought a few TH stocks (because there were no other choices/interest) and now I don't have any complaints. I'm not saying I wouldn't still prefer the traditional style but I am saying there isn't a SINGLE functional or mental disadvantage to me, when I shoot them. I'm hesitant to say I prefer them but it certainly doesn't bother me. To each his own, but make sure you spend a bit of time with them before swearing them off.

Maybe it's because I shoot a lot of squirrels in trees and aiming upward is conducive to the TH stock more than standard rifle.

"fishinwrench"So what did they do, add a stronger gas ram ?
Any chance of swapping those cylinders on the original Swarm, or moving it all into the traditional stock?
They modified the gamo magnum not the gamo swarm actually. I used to wish they offered traditional stock but now (owning both) I prefer the pistol grip. You wouldn’t be able to put the magnum power plant in the swarm as the gas cylinder is 33mm compared to 28 I think. I tried to get a gamo pigman stock (traditional bench rifle synthetic stock) but didn’t get very far.
