I would think that the people who design the gun must use some science and measure the cylinder volume and calculate to have the optimal size port to create maximum air flow..Bigger doesn't always mean better,certainly not in engine head porting,and that's what I'm basing my answer on.You could very well like Mentolio suggests,ruin a good gun.

I agree with mentolio, I thought the same at first then asked the gang here and did some research and the only thing I found was just check the piston seal. It might not change anything it just depends if the stock seal is bad. I would crony it first to see what your getting if you can't afford one there an app called crono connect Its free and I use it.

Alrighty then, I had just seen a lot of people opening the transfer ports up on the 1322s and qb-79s and other crosmen platforms I figured maybe the science is interchangeable glad I asked befor drilling away at my first break barrel. I'll just stick with the plan to get a grt-4g from Charlie da tuna (36 bones)
