FYI Easy-Peasy Gamo Urban power adjustment modification...

For anyone interested, here is a Super simple, easy way to make "On-the-fly" power adjustments to Your Gamo Urban. With the help of a chrony,You can go from an Easy cocking,Very quiet target/plinker with a little better shot count to a Real squirrel smacker/bunny bwaster. Clockwise to increase and naturally the opposite to decrease velocity. Simply remove the stock and plastic air tube end cap, carefully drill the corresponding holes and use a 4mm allen wrench for adjustment.

And #2. Pretty much stock aside from trigger mod. (Longer rear sear adjustment screw. No need to go purchase one,the barrel band screw works Perfectly!)

Bam!

I saw the BSA goodies a while back on Rowan Engineering's site. I thought their bolt handles looked nice...but I'm a bit of a tightwad.

Mike.

Looks good! How do you keep those darn things from rusting once you do that?

Thanks for the great tip Mike. I bookmarked it for the future.

I just received mine today. Didn't have much time so quickly slapped a Leapers scope on it and zeroed it in at just 22 yds. I'm liking it so far. Better than the Disco I had, but still not up to par with the couple of Marauders I've had. But that's to be expected at half the price.

This was the first 10 shot group with it. Didn't even take the time to clean the barrel either. Will get to it tomorrow. Had the 18.1 gr Jsb's available and that's all I've tried so far.

It's gonna be my loaner gun. Got a friend that's gonna try it out with his daughter over the Christmas holidays. So, I don't really want to modify anything just yet. I want them to know exactly how it comes from the factory. Got them a cheap hand pump to use with it as well. Heck, if he likes it and wants it, I'll give him an even better discount than I got. I just enjoy turning newbies on to the addiction. He owns his own automobile repair shop. Maybe I can trade for a few free oil changes until it's paid off???? LOL

I've found that out of the box the barrels are FILTHY! I haven't done any Real target work with them yet,its pretty crappy here in Michigan. I Have been shooting off sticks out the window to about 60 yds at objects in the snow. Makes it easy to track my shots. I can Easily hit objects the size of pong balls at that distance. One is shooting at around 19.5 ft lbs and the other at 26ish.

I think You'll be impressed once it has a clean barrel. Seems to like JSB 15.89's and 18.13's. Have fun!

Mike.

BSA Hammer Forged Barrels are known to like Crosman Premiers both in the Domes and the CPHPs. They may be worth trying and they are cheap and readily available locally. My bet is that it will like at least one of them if not both.
