Im probably the only user who feel the FXimpact native bipod mount end up being uncomfortably close to the trigger, resulting in a fairly squirly behavior when making small yaw adjustments. at least to me it feels a bit that way. Probably because I have been used to longer guns with the bipod pivot point way out front giving great leverage for small adjustments.
So anyway, did a quick 3D print this afternoon and used a 20mm carbon-fiber tube.
First of all, yes the longer "arm" resulted in much easier smooth moves and less tendency to dance on target.
Down side, the current clamp under the rifle is too flexible for a really solid hold, and one probably should stick a Y of sorts under the air-tank to tighten the experience. or figure a higher print to mount to the gun obviously. the front piece worked perfect, its being tightened to the CF tube by the bipod, worked great.
Probably will cut it back to match the extension of the 700mm barrel, line up the end of the CF with the back of the suppressor.. something like that.
Suggestions?
