FX Wildcat Shot String

Im new to regulated airguns particularly the Fx Wildcat. Starting at 250 bar and stopping the test at 160 bar with a 875 fps average, the velocity started to climb. I continued to chrony a clip and half and the velocity continued a steady climb to 903fps. I descided to stop until I get an answer why this is. I was expecting the velocity to get to a certain point and start falling off, but did the opposite instead. Is this normal?

Thanks everyone for their replies. I apologize and please allow me to paint a better picture of my concern. First, I live in the USA so I'm not restricted. I did a chrony test last night starting at 250 bar. The regulator appreared normal after 55 shots with the fps maintaining between 867 - 877. I think that's a lot of shots already. Anyway, so I kept going with the test. When it reached 160 bar which was shot 56 (883fps), the fps started to climb to shot 68 (903fps). And that's where I stopped the test. Is it normal for the regulator to climb like this before falling off?

"Dartagnan"You are correct sir! Right next to the serial number, Made in Sweden, on the side of the gun will say the Max Pressure recommended. I think that will be the last time I fill to 250 bar. 48 shots (6 clips) is plenty for me per fill

I'd be interested to know if when you adjust your fill pressure if your shot string changes. Maybe you were starting to get some valve lock. I don't know if thats possible on a regulated gun but it would be interesting to see what it does at the new pressure. Thanks... I'm enjoying the education.

Did another string but filled to 230 bar (as recommended) and ending at 170 bar resulted in a 40 shot count (5 clips) with velocities between 860 - 875fps. The regulated velocity did decrease with a 230 start but not much. If there is a break-in needed on this regulator or regulators in general, I hope to see a lower ES.

"Tactical"please post the actual shot string.

All I can tell you is that if you are new to air rifles, don't try to work on the regulator yourself. It is a mechanical valve really but still can be overwhelming for someone starting out to work on. If you are experiencing issues send it back to the dealer and have professionals look at it.
Oh no, this is definitely not my first airgun. It is the first airgun I owned with a regulator which the FX Wildcats come already installed. Below is my latest shot string using JSB 25.39gr filled to 230 bar and stopping at 170 bar. I did get more shots from a 250 bar fill but I will more likely stick with the recommended 230 bar. Just a reminder from my previous post, this gun is only 3 days old so I have no intentions of opening her up.... well, except to 'OPEN HER UP ON TARGETS' :)

I may have found my answer to why I get an increase in velocity when I reached 160 bar. Looks like 160 bar is where my gun falls off. Please dont hesitate to correct me if Im seeing this in a different light. :)

Plus the velocity I am getting with this Wildcat 25 is optimal for shot count and accuracy. I've shot over 900fps using JSB 25gr with other airguns and confirmed instability thru a scope cam with slow motion video.
