FX Wildcat Scope windage problem- help needed.

I've had my .22 FX Wildcat since January, and had no problems with it. Originally it was UK spec with the low power setting.

I've since got the UK license and had the full power regulator fitted. Since I got it back, I had a problem with the scope, with zero setting ending up right on the one side of the adjustment range. Using the same scope and rings and nothing else was adjusted.

I am concerned that my barrel was bent during the regulator upgrade. Is there a simple way to check my barrel alignment?

Would appreciate any advice on what to check.

I'm pretty sure you can use this method to check if you have a bent barrel. I went through something similar once. You can set up three targets at different distances and see if your POI changes. Put a target at 25 yards, another at 50 and one at 75. Zero you scope on the 50 yard target. If your barrel is bent your POI will be to the left on the 25 yard target and to the right on the 75 yard target or vice versa. This is the effect that is produced when your scope and bore are not lined up perfectly together. I hope this helps and I hope it's something quick and simple to fix. I know first hand that sorting these things can sometimes be a real pain.

All the best,
Cliff
