After removing the barrel and holding it up to a light I noticed 2 areas of pitting. One area about 4to5 inches down the muzzle end and the other down the breech end. Their both about 1/2 inch round in size. Although it shoots very accurate, I don't want a pitted barrel on my brand new rifle. I contacted AOA and at first one of their "technicians" said that was normal. I told them that pitting is the result of rusting and corrosion and that its not normal on a new rifle. I know the rifle is new, but the barrel is obviously not. This makes me wonder how many other barrels are like this? So I sent it in to them ( should arrive friday the 15'th) so they can inspect it and told them I want a new barrel that's not pitted. Is that too much to ask? I've spent almost $3000.00 with them in the last 3 months. Will keep you updated.
