FX Wildcat Orings

I have an intermittent leakage problem that I haven't been able to identify. It may be fine after sitting for a week or it may drop 50 bar, after refilling it may maintain or it may not seal, shooting occasionally doesn't seem to change anything. The gun is in stable temperature conditions and multiple bubble tests have not shown a culprit. From various comments in the past I am suspicious of the regulator seals and ordered a complete oring kit from a vendor on Amazon, this vendor also sells on Ebay. Turns out no orings are included for the regulator, looking closely at the official FX part drawing the seals are not called out seperately. Also in the fine print on the ad it turns out the orings are for an FX Regal 400 and I have no idea if they are the same, out of disgust I look at a competing vendors ad that says they are an exact replacement - until you look at the fine print at the bottom that says they may be slightly different size and hardness and material! I called AOA where the gun was bought and was told to buy parts from the new FX place that wouldn't answer the phone or return the call, I have read good reports on Utah Airguns and was advised by them to take the regulator to a local hardware store where they could help me. Yeah right! I have nothing against paying some premium price to FX but they have to answer the phone or return the call after some number of calls/days, maybe the bad weather on the coast is making it impossible for Earnest to fly down to the store this week but whatever the cause the lack of being able to buy nickle cost orings for a $1300.00 gun is unacceptable. Doesn't Frederick understand how much ill will this kind of service generates toward FX?

I’ve been a supporter of FX rifles and I own a few of them . However I believe the person in charge of the FX operation in NC is overwhelmed by his new responsibilities I think Ernest is fine there for the maintenance end but the person over Ernest needs help since it obvious to those of us who can’t get through to them. I don’t know why no one from corporate has intervened. They need someone there with experience managing a distribution and maintenance facility. They need to get the existing manager the help they need or hire someone else who can take charge and get the job done.

From looking at other threads I'm ordering from the Oring store the following:
N2.40X011.8 NBR70 for .10 each (not shown by FX on part drawing, going from my measurement) these go on outside of regulator
N2.40X023.3 NBR70 for .34 each part #E4 as per FX drawing these go on outside of regulator seat E5
$1.00 minimum order, shipping to be USPS first class @ approx $6.00
I won't try them till my next pressure leak so may not be able to report however if any of you experimenters (I'm talking to you Chuck) want to try them right away let me know and I'll send you a set gratis if you'll report on them to this forum.

Hawkeye69: I guess the point I'm trying to make is that even if AOA has the oring kit (listed at $40.00) I'd be willing to bet it doesn't contain the regulator orings because they aren't shown on the FX drawing drawing. I didn't know to ask for Steve when I did call but that only proves that it's real hard to get what is probably a very common part. I'm don't want to use up Ernests time even if I could get ahold of him with something like this, I just want the .10 cent oring so my gun will work! Word has it that he's making some videos so people can do their own repairs, I could do mine now if I could get the part.
