We were lucky enough to get in a few of the brand new FX Wildcat MKII's in stock this last week! This isn't a full in depth review, just a quick range day to shoot a few groups and give our initial thoughts on the new gun:


The updated Wildcat MKII now comes with the X system and comes with the Smooth Twist barrel liner. It also is about a 1/2 lb. lighter. We do have a limited number left in .25 caliber so please give us a shout if you are looking for something new!

This video and post was made before FX made any official announcements regarding the MKII, we apologize for the lack of info. We were lucky to get one early and this was nothing more than our initial thoughts, not a detailed review (that will be coming when barrels and liners are made available). FX has since released detailed information on the Wildcat MKII along with the MKII Compact and X-Barrel options on AGN. We are happy to answer any questions you may have!

When this was posted about a month ago we did have a small limited number of .25 caliber, we have more in stock now though! With the Smooth Twist liner they have been actually shooting just a tiny bit hotter than the MKI on average out of the box (905-910 FPS) with the 25.39 gr King JSB. That would be around 46 ft/lb. The barrel upgrade options and MKII Compact aren’t quite out yet so our testing is pretty limited.

We are currently taking pre-orders on the Wildcat Compact MKII and they should be available in the next month or so. FX did bring one by for us last week, so we will be posting a review here in the next week or so. We are currently taking pre-orders on the Compact at:

Hi Steve,
There are now 3 options for the Wildcat MKII:

-Wildcat MKII .22 caliber
-Wildcat MKII .25 caliber
-Wildcat MKII Compact .25 caliber (Picatinny top/bottom rails & moderator).

The Compact is the same length as the .22 Wildcat, but in .25 caliber, which is the huge advantage. Please let us know of any questions! We posted up a video on our YouTube channel with our initial thoughts on the Compact.
