FX Wildcat Mk2 .25 problem

Hi form members

first thing first I have a .25 wildcat mk2 with 700mm barrel Huma regulated set at 130bar with small plenum installed. I have it tuned to shoot JSB 25.39 pellets at 900fps. And have no problem with accuracy it shoots 1/2@ 60 yards the problem is first shot after it sets overnight is 100fps low and it takes 5 shots to get back to 900fps and then max velocity spread is 21Fps..not all that good But it is accurate.
I have rebuilt the reg. Put in a new breach oring and pulled out the hammer for inspection I don’t really understand the two piece hammer. Mine sticks a little when you push the two pieces (the hammer and the spring guide)all the way together don’t know if this is normal or not. But this is making me crazy it has to be something simple. I hope has anyone had this happen before any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.... Marco

Marco. You have some reg creep going on. How new is the reg? It may need more break in time. Un like the amp reg, you cant turn down the huma while under pressure. It will damage the reg seat. Easy fix if you did. Just flip the white plastic disk over to the unhurt side.

Now. Most regs creep to some extent. It can easily be tuned to where you dont even know it's there. The pressure is creeping up making it harder to open the valve. That's why you're first few shots are slower until things equalize. Simply put, you don't have enough hammer strike. Either lower your reg pressure around 5 bar or give the hammer spring another half turn. Let it set over night, and repeat your first shot test. You can go as far as having the first few shots too fast. You just need to find the balance in the middle. Your es will tighten right up.

A big thanks to all the replies much appreciated.
There is one thing I noticed that I found strange. On the end of the Huma adjustment screw where I guess it would come in contact with the white disk it has a super small point or bump dead center has anyone know if this is normal? It may be a problem.

i rebuilt the reg a couple weeks ago and have around 300 pellets through it. Don’t really know how many it takes to settle the reg?

Thanks Marco
