FX Wildcat .25 MkII Compact Production

Hi all. I haven't posted a great deal, but I now have a question, and looking for some information. I REALLY liked the FX WC MkII Compact in .25. So much so I sold two other air rifles (here on AG Nation) and saved my money and preordered one through Airgun Depot. In the meantime of waiting I've noticed that FX doesn't list the WC MkII Compact on their website, or give any information on it (that I could find). When I emailed Airgun Depot about it, the response was "sometime in mid-April." And, on their website (AGD), they don't list an availability date. My impatience is probably getting the best of me. Do any of y'all have any ideas, heard of the pending availability, or know of any concrete information? Or, is the one passing through Ted's hands, Utah AG, and Airgun Depot all the same preproduction prototype?? ((Jeez, where's my tinfoil hat when I need it))

Anyone else preorder one?
 
I pre-ordered one from AoA back in February. I've also been getting very impatient to receive mine so I emailed fx USA and they told me they don't expect them to be available for shipping to customers till May.

I think I've figured it out. Used to be, a company came up with an idea for a new model. They'd produce it, and hope that it sold. Now it seems they have an idea, make a prototype or two or three, put them in a show or two, hype them up, and see what the reaction is, BEFORE they decide how many they will produce. Thus the delay. Can anyone say "Hammer"? :)

I was one of the first 5 to have pre-ordered a compact and recently cancelled my order and got my deposit back.

Currently, I own an MK1 Wildcat in .25 that I really like. I was in the market for something new and narrowed it down to three other guns, Impact, R5M, and Crown ... well, I did a complete 180, and bought a Daystate LC110 compressor! Topped off my 88cu ft Luxfer tank yesterday in 20 mins. 3000 to 4600psi. Damn, it's nice!!!

Hang in there guys, the MK2 Compacts are coming!

Yeah originally when I placed my order through AoA they told me originally expected delivery in March. Then I asked a question about it on Fx's Facebook page and they told me to expect shipment to distributors at the end of March and after transit times expect to have it in April. Then through emails from fx USA they told me May. So now it's just down to a waiting game.

"Jim81"I talked with some nice folks at UA. They expect them to arrive next week. Never heard that before have you? I did do a pre-order. However I am about number 25 on the list. I don't think any distributor will get over 25 the first delivery date. Please tell me I an wrong and might get it before the second batch hits the US.

AGD was quick to tell me that they didn't keep a "list," but I believe that is bunk. I was hoping I would get an email saying they had them in, since "mid-April" has come and gone. I haven't called them back to harass them, yet. I believe I got sucked into the hype, and I should know better by now, but man I really like it (what I've seen of it anyway). Also, I've noticed that no one has a date of availability in writing, which seems a little wonky to me. Sure, some people get an email or some type of response, but it's ambiguous and/or vague. That doesn't instill a lot of confidence once I dwell on it for a few minutes. Matt's email above is the only correspondence I've seen that approached an official time frame for the shipping of the WC.
