FX Wildcat .25 Huma regulated getting incredible BCs.

So just put the huma regulator in my MKI Wildcat, tuned it to 860 fps with 33.95s (160 bar). Well here's what's interesting, before I was getting a BC of about 0.0560 average when the pellet was going 800 fps. Now @ 25 yards the pellet is flying through at 812 FPS. That's a calculated BC of 0.0641. Anyone else getting similar results with this setup? Things a laser pointer now, unbelievable, 100 yard shots are literally a joke now, just dial the turret down 4 mil's and boom 10 shot 1 inch groups @ 100. Glad I'm back to the MKI now with my bad experiences with MKII.

There are WAY too many variables to say anything conclusive given what you've written.

The most obvious of these is that I don't know what ballistic coefficient calculator you're using, but unless you nail all the inputs, the different variables could easily generate that shift in BC. Things like temperature, pressure, humidity, etc. Further, if you're using just one chrono and doing a string up close and a string down range, it is possible you're getting velocity variation you're not accurately observing/measuring which could be skewing your results. And finally, BC changes fairly dramatically with velocity. Given that you're measuring BC over such a short distance, it is possible your new velocity just put you at a "sweet spot."

These are all just guesses though. My expectation is that, averaged over a longer range and under identical conditions, your pellets' BC didn't actually change. I don't see how it really could. Of course I've been wrong before....

I have almost the same setup. I have a lane regulator set at 150 bar by Chuck.

I would be looking for a fix if i had only 40 shots and a spread of 60!

i have my huma set at 130 bar and am getting 825 avg with a spread of 27 at 52 shots.. Not happy with that yet. Still need to tinker

Are you shooting the 34 grain jsb pellets? I'm ok with 32 shots with this gun. It starts to fall off the reg 3 or 4 shots into the 5th mag

I'm using Chairgun pro with the correct set temperature and altitude, before on the 800 fps setup it was zeroed at 43 yards and I was averaging 0.0560. People on the forum were saying the closer the range the worst your BC would be so I don't know what to believe anymore so I had to test it out for myself. My guess to why the increase of BC is because everybody said these pellets need atleast 830 fps to be optimal. Well Chairgun pro is pretty much the best calculation a man on a budget can do right haha.

Yes. The JSB HEAVIES. MKII. 33.95 grain. I cannot say for sure exactly what my huma is set at. I just set it to the 130 bar mark. I went by the instructions and turned it up to 140 bar then back down to 130.

i just rechecked my chronograph group I saved. Shot spread of 27. Avg 825 fps and it started to fall off the reg on the 53rd shot. I would like to see my shot spread down around 15 fps.
