FX Wildcat .25 fan

The 25 caliber seems about perfect for small game. I love my WC25. It does a number on woodchucks.

Hi AnimalHitman, welcome! .. Always like to hear from other enthusiastic Wildcat owners, you'll find no shortage of Wildcat fans here. Had my .25 for a couple months now 6k plus pellets through it. The Wildcat has completely changed the way I shoot in a good way, they are accurate and easy to shoot accurately, In the process of " thinning my heard" to make room for a .22 Wildcat, want to plink with CPHP's, just don't shoot my other guns since the Wildcat moved in. Have you read the post "How the Wildcat became my pet" it's on page 4, all happy WC owners! Again welcome, hope to hear about your hunting exploits!

Yes, Bob; I couldn't agree more! I experimented with several other rifles (including PBs), and believe that the WC .25 is superior to them all for small game. The simple design provides reliable operation, and the accuracy is better than any other weapon I've ever shot! It is compact and light; I can tote it around all day no problem :). The power is more than adequate to take any small game animal out to the limits of my optics. The best aspect of hunting with airguns, IMO, is the stealth! The game doesn't even recognize the shot as a danger. This provides a chance for a second (and third and fourth...) shot if necessary :). I'm not exaggerating when I say that I am taking way more critters with my WC than I ever did with my .22lr or 12 gauge.

RM100GUY, that walnut stock sure is gorgeous. I almost went with that one. I went with the black tactical look instead. I bagged a bunny yesterday and am enjoying bunny burgers today! Hunting with my WC is my go-to activity whenever I have some free time! I think I am really going to enjoy the camaraderie here on AGN; you guys seem just as enthusiastic about airguns as I am.

Thanks AnimalHitman, several coats of English walnut oil, smells great too! I have discovered that the walnut stock is very slippery, and it makes me nervous when handling the gun, have a Bobcat Mk2 with synthetic stock has a better grippier feel to it, I have to buy these guns sight unseen and never know what I'll discover, anyway the prey dosen't care, woe to any English sparrows or rabbits in my back

yard, and my neighbors are all for it too!!! Life is good!!!

I feel ya, RM. The finished stocks certainly are more pleasing to the eye, but I tend to go with function over form. The rubbery synthetic stock is ideal when out in the field. You can't overestimate a good solid grip. Plus, I'm not always worried about that first scratch! Also, I really like the negative space in the stock. It's really handy for snatching it out of my backpack scabbard, and it provides a great carrying handle. I can't imagine a better field rifle for small game.
