Hello, I have recently Wildcat .22 cal, but I have a problem with power. With JSB heavy speed was 760 fps. I screw the brass cap of spring and the speed increased to 790 fps, but it is very far from that declared by the manufacturer. Tests done with two different chronographs and the results are identical. What could be the problem? I'm asking for help.

Call me crazy but there's three holes where the linkage connects to the sear try changing the the position at the rod connectionin there is three holes I think mine is in the center for 900 I played around with my trigger and got the exact same symptoms you did found it hard to believe that moving the linkage would change the velocity but it's certainly appear to

Mine is the third hole, the most away from the trigger. I think, however, that the problem is another. A little while ago I disassemble the gun and hole of the brass end of the barrel did not match with the hole through which air passing after the valve. After being assembled speed increased to 896-897 fps.

I was going to say it sounds like the brass transfer port is out of alignment which is an easy fix.
- Remove front cheek rest.
- Remove the rear most set screw (see picture):
- Once set screw is removed, look inside the screw hole and make sure the brass indentation is perfectly centered in the hole. You should be able to twist the barrel gently to align it (see picture):
- Finally, check that the magazine can still be inserted as it's possible the barrel could have been moved slightly too far towards the breach (see picture):

That's what I did and the problem is solved. I do not think it is the fault of the manufacturer. Rather it is my fault. I tried to disassemble shroud and then guess the barrel rotates. Thanks travels4fun. This will be useful to others like me.
